I eventually got my refund back from last year and the stimulus payments but now my taxes were rejected because it says my info doesn't match. I have to mail them in. Sucks since I paid to do them online but still cant get ahold of anyone with the IRS.
But yeah, it eventually worked itself out. No suspicious activity on my SSN. I was originally very worried about that but I have been monitoring it and its been good.
It's been 22 days and still, no information is there on my refund. IRS website says I might not have entered my info correctly I know I did. I call IRS and wait two hours for them to tell me they received my return and accepted it but have no information on my refund and I just need to wait for my turn in line. I filed on 1-27-21, sent it to IRS on 2-11-21, and accepted it from IRS on 2-11-21. BUT yet they have no information on my refund and cant give me any details! I just must wait! I would love to them the same thing if I owed them money. Just wait, I will send it when I can! IRS is a joke and people need their money. I should be able to get some information on what's going on with my return.
You may not have entered your information correctly. Please verify your personal tax data and try again is all I get since the day I filed!
@lisashay32703 If it has been more than 21 days since your return was accepted, please take a look at the link below:
Refund taking longer than 21 days
Thankyou
Same!!! It’s been 21 days since they accepted and I haven’t gotten anything.
Once your tax return has been submitted, the most up to date information will come from the IRS. Until the IRS starts processing it on their own, you may not find record of it or the website may say that you have put in incorrect information when tracking your federal refund. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated accordingly. Please see here for more information on checking the status of an e-filed return.
If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status as it moves through the process here.
See the video in this link for a really good explanation of the process:

Hey so quick question, if I filed my 2020 return on jan 28 and they didn’t get accepted until feb.11, why is it that it’s March 6th and it still says processing? It’s passed the 21 day mark and I’m starting to think I’m not getting my return. Can you help me
Also, I talked to a turbo tax expert yesterday on the phone and she said that the child tax increase was approved by Biden ans that’s why it’s processing so long but she said I’m not the only one. Can you reassure my mind? This is also the first year I’m not claiming my youngest son and his father claimed him and we are living under the same roof now as roommates to better co parent our son (I have 4 other children by a different man) and I claimed them. Also, when I filed, I didn’t recieve my 2nd stim yet so when they asked that question I clicked no but then got my stim a week later. Could that be the reason it’s delayed?
There are many issues that can delay refunds, including ones over which the IRS has no control. Here are the top three categories:
Administrative requirements
Missing, inconsistent, or suspect information
Delivery glitches
Please see this TurboTax FAQ for more information, What if my IRS refund is taking longer than 21 day...
@Tracibear1 Sorry---you are confused. The child tax credit increase has not been passed. It is a proposed tax law change that is being debated in the Senate as part of the 3rd stimulus bill--which has NOT been passed or signed into law. Whatever is going on with your 2020 tax return has nothing to do with an increase in the CTC.
The IRS might be cross checking for the stimulus you said you did not get and adjusting your refund because you did receive it. All you can do is wait for the IRS to process your return. TurboTax does not get any information from the IRS after you file. And many tax returns are taking longer than the "goal" of 21 days.
Makes sense thank you but i wasnt worried on stimulus im just concerned on my taxes as i still check the irs website still says the same but oh well better late than never lol and if not they have my info anyway so its just a waiting game but thank you
I wasn’t worried about the stim either and girlllll it’s a waiting game for me too I hate it.
Did you ever find out why it was saying that?
If there is no record of your return, or the system says the information is wrong, please make sure you are entering the correct social security number, filing status, and refund amount.
