When i filed i forgot to add my unemployment benefits?

Same situation happen to me but both my federal & state refund got accepted already does it mean I still need to wait to get approved to receive my refund ? To then amend ?

I would assume that money is due upon receipt of the amended return. You’re talking about the IRS, not a collection agency. They will garnish your wages or just take the money from your assets if you do not pay them. I don’t think you can defer payment until the next year. Not something I want to find out either. Better off to just pay if you owe immediately.

Yup got my refund yesterday. WMR still showing accepted. Obviously they are not updating it for some.

Was needing clarification on same issue  and whilst searching this thread , my state refund popped up pending in my bank account. And yes, I was among the people who forgot to claim unemployment and my federal withholding  my 2020 tax return (I personally was having technical issues and completed without claiming accidentally )... Nothing on my federal yet

in the same boat i filed without unemployment refund got accepted but not a approved should i wait ?

You will not be able to amend your tax return until it has been accepted by the IRS.  Please see the TurboTax FAQ here for more information on amending a 2020 tax return.

I sadly have the same issue.... but I did receive my federal today.

Did they deduct anything from the federal or they sent you the original refund with out the unemployment add it ?

I received my original refund but ofcourse I have to amend and there will be changed made 😒
