First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2021 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

I am able to track it my refund but how long until my return goes from received to approved? Doesn’t received mean they accepted it?

They received your refund meaning that your social security number and name looks correct. It has passed verification stage. Be patient, your refund will be approved soon.

"Accepted" is an early stage.   You have to wait for your return to be processed now.

 If I claimed a child tax credit do you know how long they normally take to approve them? I filed on Jan 25 and the accepted it the next day now it is showing received on the bar and saying we have received your tax return and it’s is being processed

By law, the IRS cannot issue refunds before February 15 for tax returns that claim the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit.
