I waited For them to send me a letter because I had to fax it back to them after I faxed it took approximately three weeks to get my refund. They will ask you not to amend. Did you get a letter you should follow exactly what the letter says and fax it to them it’s quicker
It depends.
Are you trying to determine if you need to amend because you needed to include the information for insurance through the Marketplace as reported on Form 1095-A?
If so, you may just need to wait. The IRS has limited operations due to Covid-19.
If you receive a notice from the IRS for Premium Tax credit, you can follow the instructions in the following help article to create Form 8962 in TurboTax and submit with your Form 1095-A.
How to generate Form 8962 to submit to the IRS as requested
You do not need to amend your return.
I filed my return in Feb and received a letter in March saying I needed to file a 8962. I did this and still have not received my return. I called the IRS at the end of May and the end of June both times were told that the form had still not been processed, citing COVID related excuses. Now it is the end of July, do I even bother calling again? Will they simply keep the money?
undo 1095miss
You will edit that information in the "Deductions & Credits" tab.
