Same issue here. 2/24 DDD and they have the funds they are just holding them. Haven't sent me anything. Had to find out about sending them verification info myself through there automated system. Hard to get ahold of someone because of constant hang ups. When you do reach someone they just tell you to email them certain info and your drivers license. Website verification doesnt work. Says my SSN is invalid. Cant tell you why its on hold. And they say it will take 7 days to hear back from them. This weekend will be 7 days for me so we will see if thats even true.
We are going through the same thing. It says it was funded but it is on reserve…I am so mad-you can’t get in touch with anyone anywhere!
What number were you calling. We can’t get past an automated number.
What number are you actually getting hold of a person at? I am having the same issues and cannot get a real person on the phone.
We’re aware of an issue that may have caused customers who used our Refund Transfer service to see a smaller refund than expected or none at all.
We know how important your refund is and we apologize. We’re working quickly to resolve this and make sure you receive your full refund. You'll get an email message from us shortly letting you know when to expect the rest of your refund.
In the meantime, please refer to these Turbo Tax help articles.

I just got on and filed a complaint against TPG with the BBB
@SForrestLO, really wish you would stop copying and pasting the same information over and over again. How about telling us if there’s a resolution that TurboTax is working on for its customers. You have people getting shafted left and right by your chosen third-party processor. What is being done to resolve this, because none of your customers can even reach that bank. and for those rare unicorns that are getting though, TPG has no information to offer them other than to submit a ticket. Guess what, I have submitted three tickets and not gotten a single response in over a week. This is fraud. When is this getting fixed?
for the people above that asked how you get to a person at TPG, well it’s kind of hard. First you have to lie about whether you’re a customer or tax preparer in the automated system, go ahead and choose any other choice OTHER than being the taxpayer (that they’re holding funds hostage from) and it will get you through on hold to a customer service representative. However, good luck with your call not being disconnected because every time I’ve called and gone around that way has disconnected my call after about 45 minutes of my time holding. Super frustrating, I am going to let my attorney handle this from here on out.
Not a single email from TT or TPG explaining wth is happening here. Awful.
@Jennifer1111 I wish us both luck, I hope your attorney can help! I did the same thing you did, saying I was a preparer and it hung up on me too multiple times. This is ridiculous and called turbo tax again today and they just keep telling me it’s the irs fault and they will have more information which is complete bs!!!
@Jennifer1111 Do we are start submitting to the irs that our taxes are missing or “stolen” because they basically are
@JonesS, This has nothing to do with the IRS, they have already done their part. And while this is also not TurboTax’s fault, this is the third-party processor that they chose, so by default they are liable when there are this many people with issues because they used their tax software. TT should have issued a statement to its customers by now explaining WTH is going on here. I know for a fact there are no issues with my return or my bank account that would cause a third-party processor to hold my funds. I owe no debts that would be reduced from my funds, and it’s just exhausting to try and get a human being that can tell you what is wrong and how to fix it. Now that my federal return is filed, I can’t even get through the automated system at TurboTax to get assistance.
It’s wild to me that two companies involved in the preparation of my tax returns have no customer service representative that I can speak to. It cannot be legal for TPG to hold my funds, not notify me even once to tell me they are doing so, and then give me no recourse to even upload what they *say is needed.
I hope everyone gets legal counsel involved. This is ludicrous. I don’t know if the solution is to claim the tax returns were fraudulently filed, but it’s a idea. Our funds have technically been stolen by TPG at this point. And by TurboTax, since they received their money out of ours just fine.
Same issue here. Refund was sent from the IRS the 24th of Feb. TPG just has it held on reserve. Something needs to be fixed. They are holding my money for no good reason.
Yup. SBTPG is plain ridiculous since it cannot provide any reason for this "hold." One of SBTPG rep said he does not know my refund has a hold. He simply asked if I made any money out of the US for having a name that is in foreign language and that could be a reason why money is being held 😂 I was like, IRS said it is good to send money back to me. WTF is SBTPG to judge and investiage if I am entitled to my own money?
Fed return was released 2/17 but didn't hit my bank account until 3/2 from TPG-significantly less return than expecting. Speaking to TT rep now but they put me on hold.
How were u able to talk to someone?
@Jennifer1111 Well it least you have the funded status so you have an idea where the money is, mine was deposited by the irs on Feb 9th and TPG still says “unfunded”. The irs gave me an account and routing number that it was deposited into at this green dot tpg bank & the account number is clearly associated with my social. So I’m unsure on what to do,
do I call the irs and say my refund was lost or stolen? Because I don’t have it my bank doesn’t have it, my tax preparer doesn’t have it and only has my direct deposit info. I can’t get ahold of an actual person at TPG to confirm my account details so like where do k even start? I can’t afford an attorney, I’m a foster mom and bio mom just trying to do the right thing.
