The IRS releases most refunds within 21 days of the date that the IRS accepts the return. (exception: the IRS did not begin processing e-filed returns until 1/29, so if you filed before then, it would be approx. 21 days from that date). See below for information on how to track your refund.

We can't give you an exact date at this time. Refunds can be issued in less than 21 days, but there are cases where it can take longer to process.
TurboTax will only show the status of returns (not refunds), such as when the return is actually accepted. You would not be able to directly track the status of your refund from within your TurboTax account. TurboTax is not connected the IRS or state department(s) of revenue refund tracking tools.
You can track the status of your state refund by following the directions in the following TurboTax FAQ.

TurboTax only gives the general IRS (most returns are processed withing 21 days) date. The actual date is known only by the IRS. TurboTax also does not adjust the general date for anything on the tax return. TurboTax receives no feedback from the IRS after filing.
The IRS says most refunds will be issued within 21 days - some faster, some longer.
Each tax return is evaluated on it's own merits. There is no first-in-first-out. Two similar tax return submitted at the same time can have totally different processing times based on IRS criteria for examining tax returns that the IRS does not divulge.
Some returns will be held for ID verification or other verification. The IRS will send a letter if they require more information to process your tax return.
The 2015 PATH ACT passed by Congress mandated that tax refunds be held if the tax return claimed the Earned Income Credit or Additional Child Tax Credit in order to allow the IRS time to match wage statements (W-2's and 1099's) against the claimed income to combat fraudulent tax returns claiming income that did not exist and receive refunds before the IRS could process the wage statements.
Beginning in 2016, if you claim the EITC or ACTC on your tax return, the IRS must hold your refund until mid February This new law (PATH Act) requires the IRS to hold the entire refund.
Those refunds are usually released late February.

The IRS issues most refunds in about 21 days, although some returns take more time to review. To find out where your refund is, first check your e-file status. Once your return has been Accepted, you can then start to track your return at Where's My Refund? site. If it has been more than 21 days since your return was accepted, you can call the IRS directly to check on your refund status.
I used turbo tax and filed 02/3/2020, I have not received my refund?
Most Federal REFUNDS are issued within 21 business days of the return being accepted by the IRS (this is not based on when you filed). Please keep in mind that once you e-file or mail your return only the IRS has any control over it. The IRS will notify TurboTax when your return is accepted, there are no more updates given for the next 2 stages of Processing and Approval. You have to go to Where's my Refund to get any further information.
