Santa Barbara Tax Products Group (SBTPG) has sent my return to someone else's bank account.

Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, LLC (SBTPG), has mis-directed my 2021 Federal tax return to an incorrect bank account. All attempts to contact SBTPG customer support have failed. I have been able to login to their website (Taxpayer.sbtpg.com) and obtain the following info:
-
Expected federal refund amount: Unknown
Refund status: Funded
Amount received: $xxxx.xx
Fee amounts: $xxx.xx
Amount paid to you: $xxxx.xx
Direct deposit checking *xxxx
-
NOTE - The partial checking account number listed is incorrect.
-
The bank routing info and account number on my submission to intuit was and is correct.
-
Any assistance in this matter would be appreciated.

Resolution:
-
- Login to TurboTax https://myturbotax.intuit.com
- Top right of screen search for "CONTACT US"
- Below the search results, click the CONTACT US button
- Schedule a phone callback (it was quick, less than two minutes).
- Talk to the Rep, explain the situation, they will put you thru to the Resolution Team.
-
What Happened:
-
When filing 2021 taxes, after you have selected to have fees deducted from your refund, the refund is processed by Santa Barbara Tax Products Group (SBTPG).
-
You also have the option for direct deposit and/or using Credit Karma. The default is Credit Karma - NOT direct deposit - so that is where my money was deposited to and not my checking account.
-
So, a new Credit Karma account was created for me, without my knowledge, with a 3rd party transaction processing company that does not take your phone calls.
-
Very poor app design and business partnernership, Intuit needs correct both.
-
And going forward, do not choose to have fees deducted from your refund at all, you do not want any interaction with SBTPG period.
-
P.S. Credit Karma was quite professional in their response.
