Turbotax 2024 will not print: STILL NOT SOLVED AT 2/2/25

Did you try the Preview method? I had the same issue, MacOS 13.6.1 TurboTax Deluxe Desktop 2024. Didn't try Save to Pdf method, but Preview worked.

One of my fellow members of the Turbotax-Victims community suggested that I ask the vendor for a refund.  I bought from Amazon so I asked them for a refund. Amazon said that Turbotax was sold as non-refundable.

So Amazon sells a defective product and then refuses to refund the purchase price because it was "sold as non-refundable".  This is fraud.

Turbotax is incompetent and Amazon is a fraudster.

Recommend everybody on this thread to apply to your vendor for a refund.  Flood them with complaints.

TurboTax has a 60-day moneyback satisfaction guarantee for the desktop software no matter where purchased, as long as the seller was one of the authorized resellers.    NOTE:  HOWEVER... If you invoke that guarantee,  they will want you to quit using and delete the software and have you surrender/inactivate the license code so you could no longer access/work on your return.  See the info I put in an Addendum below.

EDITED:

ADDENDUM 2/24/25 at 2:15 AM Pacific:    One of the links to the wording of the guarantee doesn't work in that FAQ above.   So below is the wording of the moneyback guarantee.  It appears they will inactivate your license and ask you to delete the software.

You can read the fine print at the Intuit Software End User License Agreement for TurboTax Desktop Software. Enter Satisfaction Guaranteed (or Guaranteed Easy) into the Find feature in your browser to go to it quickly.

"Satisfaction Guaranteed (All Software): If you do not accept this EULA or if you are not satisfied with the Software, you must uninstall and delete all copies of the Software from your computer(s) and return the Software license, license code, and any accompanying packaging to your retailer within sixty (60) days of license purchase with a dated receipt for a full refund. There is a limit of five (5) such returns per year. If the store where you purchased your license is unable or unwilling to issue a refund or you obtained the Software directly from Intuit, you must uninstall and delete all copies of the Software and go to refundrequest.intuit.com within 60 days of purchase and follow the process listed to submit a refund request. Proof of purchase is required. .."

@ sgperkins

I discovered that one of the links at the first FAQ I gave above doesn't work and doesn't actually take you to the wording of the Moneyback Guarantee, so I provided an additional link that does take you to the EULA where you can search for the relevant paragraph which I also pasted above.   Since the refund request asks for your license code, I suspect they would inactivate it and ask you to delete the software as further described in the EULA.  So that would mess up the ability to access and continue with your current return.

If you wish instead to lodge an official complaint about your experience and seek relief, you can contact the office of the President of Intuit at the link below, and they will hopefully be able to come up with some resolution for you that allows you to keep using the product.   It says there that they will get back to you within one business day.

Understand. I would rather have product work correctly. It is not much use if printing isn't available.

Do you know why Turbo Tax isn't available on CD? Cost savings?

They should make CD available and charge more for those who need to keep CDs.

I've used Turbotax for over 20 years. There is no reason I should have to us preview to print a form. If Amazon is selling a product which does not work, Intuit should not allow Amazon to sell its products.

I need this product to work!

Purchased mine from Costco and got a full refund without giving up the key. If Amazon won't give a refund use your credit card to file a fraud.

Complying with Intuit's refund process shouldn't be a problem after e-filing. As fed doesn't seem to be a problem you will have that via PDF. There have been posted workarounds for state that allow you to print and possibly save as PDF. The one downside to deleting TT is the ability to carry over data for next year.  I'm encouraging folks to ask for a refund as that is the only way it seems to get Intuit to fix this by hitting them in the pocketbook. They sure don't seem to care about all the posts on their community site.

I posted here several weeks ago... because my tax file would not print... somehow I got it to create a PDF... see prior post... I was using Mac OS Ventura on intel mac. I recently purchased a Mac M4 running Sequoia 15.3.1 and just installed the turbotax application. Upon opening it advised I needed rosetta for some intel features in the software to run on the M4 silicon mac. I installed rosetta. To make a long story short, I opened my tax file I had transferred over to my new mac and low and behold, it printed the first time, no problem! Guess turbotax thinks you need the latest and greatest Mac to be able to print from their application. Or they know something that we don't know but have heard inklings of, that taxes are going to go bye bye. So don't be so quick to send in any money but if you are owed a refund, get on it! Intuit should be ashamed of allowing this printing issue to continue without an update fix. I use Affinity software and when they had an issue, they had fix update out within a few days and also communicated that they were working on it. Heard anything from Intuit? Have they even acknowledged the problem? If you don't provide a quality product you are not going to survive the coming storm.

Thank you for the information. I am running Ventura. Not sure I want to upgrade to Rosetta. Who knows, something make cause problems with my Mac.

I did request a refund. Since I've used Turbotax for well over 20 years you think Intuit would address my concerns.
