Learn more about if you qualify for a refund and instructions on how to request your refund.
TurboTax Online or Mobile
TurboTax Online can be used at no cost up until the point that you submit payment. Once payment has been received, the product is considered to have been used to prepare your taxes, regardless of whether you print or electronically file your return, or if it's rejected.
Submitting payment reflects your satisfaction with TurboTax Online preparation of your taxes, and is non-refundable.
Here are three scenarios where a refund would be warranted:
- You accidentally selected and paid for the wrong state.
- You are seeing duplicate charges.
- The product has a known defect that can't be fixed by moving to TurboTax Desktop or that occurs before a filing deadline.
Note: If you made a purchase through an app store (such as Google Play or Apple's App Store), you'll need to request a refund directly through the same app store.
TurboTax Desktop
Only purchases of TurboTax Desktop made directly through TurboTax (including TurboTax Advantage) or through one of our authorized retailers/resellers qualify for our 60-day money-back guarantee.
