Were your returns accepted? Once your returns have been accepted, the IRS states that nine out of 10 e-filed tax returns with direct deposit will be processed within 21 days of IRS e-file acceptance. Mailed paper returns: If you filed a paper return, please allow 4 weeks before checking the status. Refund processing time is 6 to 8 weeks from the date the IRS receives your tax return.
The IRS expects the earliest EITC/ACTC related refunds to be available in taxpayer bank accounts or debit cards starting February 27, 2018, if these taxpayers chose direct deposit and there are no other issues with their tax return.

@Ludgieb @gary kellogg Unfortunately, the IRS is not processing mailed in returns due to the Covid-19 & the IRS is closed. The IRS also closed their phone lines. They will start processing mailed in returns again once they re-open. All you can do now is keep checking the IRS website, Where's My Refund, the website updates once a day.

How much longer till I get my tax return
Most Federal REFUNDS are issued within 21 business days of the return being accepted by the IRS (this is not based on when you filed).
Please keep in mind that once you e-file or mail your return only the IRS has any control over it.
The IRS will notify TurboTax when your return is accepted, there are no more updates given for the next 2 stages of Processing and Approval.
You have to go to Where's my Refund to get any further information.

While most refunds are issued within 21 days, sometimes there can be delays.
Please see the following information about contacting the IRS if it has been more than 21 days:

The federal government sent my refund and my bank is not showing in my account why?
If you checked the status of your refund from the IRS Where's my Refund? page and it says that your refund was sent to your bank It can take a few days for the funds to be released by the IRS and posted by your bank to your account. Please see this IRS FAQ https://www.irs.gov/refunds/tax-season-refund-frequently-asked-questions under:
What is happening when Where’s My Refund? shows my refund’s status as approved?
We’ve approved your refund. We are preparing to send your refund to your bank or directly to you in the mail. This status will tell you when we will send the refund to your bank (if you selected the direct deposit option). Please wait 5 days after we’ve sent the refund to check with your bank about your refund, since banks vary in how and when they credit funds.
I filed on March 4th and my federal was in my account today. Only took 4 days to get my refund after I filed with turbo tax.
I filed my taxes on February 2 and still haven’t gotten minutes March 9

To check the status of an e-filed return, open up your desktop product or log into your TurboTax Online Account. You can find your status within the TurboTax product.
If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899433-how-do-i-track-my-state-refund
After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.
See this IRS website for federal tax refund FAQ's - https://www.irs.gov/refunds/tax-season-refund-frequently-asked-questions
If over 21 days since being Accepted by the IRS and the tax refund is still Processing you can call the IRS and speak with an IRS agent concerning your tax refund.
Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday
When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
- When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don't enter anything.
- After it asks twice, you will get another menu.
Then press 2 for personal or individual tax questions.
It should then transfer you to an agent.
Thank you
I mailed in a paper return for a refund on 2/12/20, and it has been in the received category for several days and weeks. Is there anyway for your company to evaluate my return to determine what is causing the delay on the processing?
