Income tax return and refund processing by the IRS has been almost interminably delayed due to the pandemic.

Did you efile or mail your return? They didn't start opening the mail until June that's been stacking up. Back in March the IRS closed their processing centers and stopped processing mailed tax returns.

If you efiled....Was your return Accepted? First double check your efile status here
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
When you efile you get back 2 emails. The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.
Then only the IRS can tell you. IRS Where's my refund https://www.irs.gov/refunds/
Make sure you are using the refund amount from your actual federal tax return and not the combined amount Turbo Tax showed you at the end. That was for federal and state combined.
When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc. what does it say?
When will you get your refund,

I sent my tax refund into the IRS in September from you guys and they aren’t saying where it is at or if they ever received it so what is happening on your end
You did not send your "refund". You filed your Tax Return. The refund is what you get back. See my post right above yours.
So I filed my taxes and I have not got my refund back. I called the IRS to see where my refund is and they won’t give me an answer.
Did you efile? Was it Accepted? You might still be able to check your efile status here

Or did you print and mail your return?
I submitted my turbo tax dated July 13, 2020, for 2019 IRS. I haven't received my refund until now. I'm trying to contact the IRS office, but no one is available. Thank for help.
To call the IRS:IRS: 800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Mon-Fri
Listen to each menu before making the selection.
First choose your language. Press 1 for English.
Then do NOT choose the first choice re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
Instead, press 2 for "personal income tax".
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions." It should then transfer you to an agent.
I can’t get online status of my early November mailed in return . The IRS should have received my return 8 + weeks ago . 6 weeks is the norm —right ? The online check in site just keeps giving me an error message ? Can turbo tax get me any info . My return showed $1625 net return due me . Thank you . James chandler ..kennesaw ga 30144... 1-11-21
Sorry you have to keep waiting. The IRS has limited staff due to Covid-19. They didn't start opening the mail until June that's been stacking up. Back in March the IRS closed their processing centers and stopped processing mailed tax returns. An IRS spokesperson said that they have about 11 million pieces of unopened mail. The IRS says....."We’re experiencing delays in processing paper tax returns due to limited staffing. If you already filed a paper return, we will process it in the order we received it." So it may take longer if you mailed in June or later. So you have to keep waiting.

Is it showing up at IRS Where's my refund yet?
Thank you , ‘Volvo Girl ‘ !
I thought so .. that they were delayed well on past 6 weeks . Was hoping TT customer service might help me get some info . No worries tho . Thanks again .
I will like to know when I will get my refunds is only the federal
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
If accepted, they try to process it within three weeks but it can be longer. if you have earned income credit or additional child tax credit, it will be at least the end of February before you see your refund, due to the PATH act that requires that they hold your refund longer.
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 34of your 2020 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
To track your state refund:

https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1901548-why-do-some-refunds-take-longer-than-others
If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.
