How much did it cost to file with he block to get refund advance?

I’m assuming that my credit karma account was closed, because when I applied for a refund advance I had to open a new one, despite having deposited my tax check into credit karma last year. 

this year my federal refund is set to be deposited into the account, with the correct account number. 
But why is my state taxes set to go to my credit karma account that was closed ? Last year, my state didn’t even go to credit karma. I did not put those numbers on my return, turbo tax did.

I tried to contact credit karma but they sent me to tt… 

then I contacted tt && they said that its out of their hands. 
which is horrible, because they’re the ones who put in the account number. So I don’t understand why my federal && state taxes, that I filed at the same time, has different account numbers. The account number on my state taxes isn’t even the same one that was on my state from last year. It’s really frustrating

My husband and I have filed our taxes for several years with Turbo Tax and have never had any problems. Our state and local taxes were accepted on Jan. 24, 2024. Unbeknownst to us, our Credit Karma Spend account was closed the following day due to a negative balance of $4.88 (apparently, a yearly fee was assessed, and there was a "mass closing" of accounts on the 25th).  We were not notified of the closure, and now both state/federal refunds are in cyberspace. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to locate the money, we were finally told that it would most likely end up going back to the IRS and be sent back as a paper check in 6-8 weeks. We are educators and were counting on this expedient process to help with medical bills. We will not be using Turbo Tax or Credit Karma in the future, and have filed a complaint with the BBB.

If you had your fees associated with filing taxes deducted from your refund the contact SBTG and ask them to change your deposit information to recieve a check instead of going to the account that was closed. I did this because my account was also closed and Credit Karma is the worst company I've ever had to deal with and their customer service is a joke. I'm hoping this will eliminate the money being sent back to IRS as SBTG says they will issue a paper check to the address on your taxes within 10 to 12 business days from when it's received. I'm not glad this happened to you but I'm glad to hear that someone else has a similar case I also had my refund sent to my credit karma money spent account and was not advised that they closed it two weeks before this because I didn't respond to an email something about they opened me and they wouldn't allow me to open a new one at first it took crazy hours trying to get someone on the phone I just can't believe that they're responsible for our checks and they have this kind of customer service on top of that they after two weeks after over a  and they have this kind of customer service . Your week of constantly trying to get a hold of someone that could tell me something more than no I just couldn't open a new account and couldn't give me a reason finally I was able to open a new money spend account and they tell me that's my refund will be going to the account that's closed but then it will just bounce over to the new one I don't know what to believe anymore I'm just disgusted

Most definitely should be reported and whoever's handling over them should be reported also TurboTax referred us or me to credit karma but they offer absolutely no support who are handling people's refunds I think it's absurd I think it's all pretty much they know what they're doing They know exactly what they're doing because they take our money and they hold it and it's it's not fair and over it I have them on recording telling me that they won't allow me to open up a new account and can't give me reason on why they said they couldn't they couldn't share anymore information with me is all they would say dude you've got my refund

I totally agree they need to because they are taking our refunds and holding them basically and they and you can't get anyone on the phone I have spent hours and then when I got some money on the phone they tell me there's nothing more they can share with me there's no more information they could share with me I said so you accepted my refund but you can't share any information with me and it won't allow me to open a new account

This is almost exact in my same situation please let me know if your boyfriend gets his refund in his new account because that's what I'm worried about and no I was not allowed to have the refund advance because of this
