I use the same routing number to get my SS deposits every month. Why is it not working for my taxes?
Help with entering your direct deposit information has been provided by clicking here. You will need an account number as well as routing number. You can contact your financial institution to obtain them.

Please I need my account to be activated but don't know whi h bank they sent it to
what is my bank routing number?
@hornetfalcon9 No one here can tell you that. If you do not know your bank's routing number and your own account number for direct deposit then you need to contact the bank yourself and make certain of them--exactly--- so that you can have your refund deposited into the account. Entering it incorrectly will cause a problem for you.
Did you already e-file? If you did NOT e-file you can go to the FILE section and change how you want to receive your refund. If you want direct deposit you need the routing number and your own account number.
You cannot change banking information while your return is in pending, nor can you change it after the return is accepted. The IRS does not allow it.
If you e-filed:
Banking information for direct deposit is wrong
If you entered incorrect banking information for your refund, you can change it if your return is rejected. If it is accepted, however, it is too late to change it. The bank will reject the refund and send it back to the IRS. Then the IRS will issue a paper check and mail it to the address you put on your tax return. Expect a delay of at least a couple of weeks to receive your refund.
Here is what the IRS says about entering incorrect banking information

The bank information you entered for direct deposit of the federal tax refund will be on the Federal Filing Instructions page for the tax return. It will also be on the Federal Information Worksheet in Part V. Use Print Center and the option for all worksheets.
Note - once the tax return has been filed the bank information cannot be changed. If the bank refuses the deposit it is sent back to the IRS. The IRS will then mail a refund check to the address on the tax return.
To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.
This will take you back to the 2021 online tax return.
Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Then click on Print Center. Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return. Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets
How do I check Bank of America routing ?
You should contact your bank directly to verify you have the routing number for electronic ACH deposits.
You can also verify you are entering the correct account and routing number by following the instructions in the TurboTax FAQ or going to Bank of America's FAQ's below:
