My taxes say received by turbo tax but unknown for federal and MI. Does that mean TurboTax hasn’t sent them?

When you efile you get back 2 emails.  The first email only confirms the transmission.  The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.

When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc.

I am having the same problem. I filed on the 31st of jan. And it is the 5th of Feb. And still no change or letter of acceptance. Did you ever receive your letter by email?

same situation as you and many others, filed 2/9 it's been 72 hrs. today it's still showing as pending. status received by the irs: unknown.

This is normal. TurboTax updates what stage your return is in and the IRS site updates when you can expect your refund:

• E-filing status is what stage of the process your return is in.
• Refund status is when you can expect you refund. 

Once your tax return has been submitted, the most up to date information will come from the IRS.

It can take anywhere from a few days to 3 weeks to update. Until the IRS starts processing it on their own, you may not find record of it or the website may say that you have put in incorrect information when tracking your federal refund. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated accordingly. Continue checking the Where’s My Federal Refund?  tool for updates.

agree, and you reach out to them and get conflicting responses. it's been 72 hrs. today and my return is still pending.

Mines say the same **bleep** . I think I’m done with turbo tax after this year

same set-up, filed on 2/9 it's been 72 hrs. today and it's still pending. called the irs they are saying the return was never received from turbo tax, turbo tax is giving different stories on the status saying it's in the system but pending, with the path act etc.

The status should update in approximately 24-48 hours but it could be longer. When TurboTax transmits the return to the IRS, the return is out of our hands. We cannot speed up the process of them accepting the return. the agent at the irs said he thinks it's an issue on their end, he told me about 5-7 people called in saying the same thing. even on their facebook there are post's about the wait too.
