Stimulus Check seemingly fell into a Black Hole.

Same 🙂

Stimulus Check seemingly fell into a Black Hole.

Finally got it

Stimulus Check seemingly fell into a Black Hole.

Here it is 07/03/2020, I am the sole provider of a family of 5. I have two baby girls and a son, I've been seriously struggling to pay bills, pay rent, and buy food. I still have not received any help via stimulus. I put my Turbo Tax account and routing number back in March. The IRS is basically impossible to get any help from. This has me thinking that its Turbo Tax that either keeps sending the stimulus back or some other error. What is really going on? Can someone please explain why I have not received even one check. I successfully filed my taxes this year which I did receive on a TT card, that card is still active and the pin is set. What in the world is going on?

Stimulus Check seemingly fell into a Black Hole.

It depends.

The bank account information for TurboTax filers is transmitted to the IRS as a part of the tax return. The IRS has the appropriate banking information for all TurboTax filers, which can be used by them to distribute stimulus payments. This is true regardless of whether a customer chose to receive their refund on a debit card, selected refund transfer (refund processing service/SBTPG) or other services.

If you are eligible, you can find out when and how the IRS will be sending your stimulus payment to you by visiting the IRS Get My Payment tool.  The IRS Get My Payment is the ONLY way to get:

  • Your payment status
  • Your payment type
  • Additional information, like if IRS needs updated bank account information

Stimulus Check seemingly fell into a Black Hole.

Here it is August 12th, 2020 and still nothing from the IRS. I'm a common man who filed my 2019 tax return. I did everything normal. I put in my information into get my payment back in March. Everything is up to date. I've called and just got reassuring words yet, here i am having not recieved one single check. I hope this gets resolved soon as I lost my job due to covid19. I'd like to know if any attempt has been whatsoever by the IRS to deposit money onto my turbo tax account. Can anyone shed any light. Get my payment just says i'm eligible when a payment date is set, blah blah blah will be deposited into your account blah blah blah. Nobody i've talked to has any shred of info and all the help videos and frequently asked questions are out of date.

To check on regular tax refund status via automated phone, call 800-829-1954. (This line has no information on Economic Impact Payments.)

Make sure your e-file was accepted:

https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  Many refunds are taking longer during the pandemic.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 20 of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

https://www.irs.gov/refunds

To track your state refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

The IRS can look at your 2018 or 2019 return to issue a stimulus check.  If they do not have a 2018 return then you may be waiting for them to finish processing 2019 before they will be able to use it to issue your stimulus check.

TurboTax has no control over your stimulus check, nor can TT track it for you or tell you when the IRS will issue it. Refer to the sites linked below:
