But if it says the last 4 of your social - you cant change the bank information until you receive a letter from the IRS - in 15 days!!!! My app hasnt worked - and I cannot call either. Its a little disturbing especially since the web traffic has to be around the same as tax time. Its really terrible. Now I feel dumb getting the card this year when I could have used my bank account but I wanted to keep it separate and save the money. Now I cant even change the routing to go to my regular bank.
I was able to log in to turbo card account a couple hours a go. The deposit wasnt there. I contacted turbo a little bit a go. They said everything is fine and the deposit will be there. But i was like then why does it show my ssn as my account nunber? She said the irs will send out a letter in 15 days telling us where the money went. Absolutely no help
Friday the IRS is suppose to have something where u can change your direct deposit info. I have no clue how its going to work. Im pissed
Look I used to work for TurboTax, these representatives work for 3rd Party call centers and go through two weeks of training, they don't know anymore information than we do, all they have is a computer in front of them with a database of questions and generic answers. Look for us that either paid fees or took loans out, our money was probably sent to the 3rd party back that deducted our fees or loans, and we will be lucky if we see out check today on our card of knowing them the idiots will probably reject the checks and the IRS will end up mailing them to us. I will not use TurboTax again and been using them for over 10 years.
See that isnt right because THEY provided our information to the IRS for the direct deposit - so somewhere something has went wrong and the people responsible dont have any information. I dont have a deposit into my account either.
You have to go to irs.gov and go to “get my payment” and put in your bank information there. A TT specialist not going to tell you this at all. They know just as much as the automated system.
I contacted Fox News about the situation, I hope they investigate it.
@Ishango36if you read my previous post, if you go to that site and it already has banking information in it, it will not allow you to put any information in there. It will only let you put information in there if they have no direct deposit information on you.
Mine did not go to my turbo card. Go on to irs.gov click on
coronavirus tax relief
then ...get my payment.
Enter your info and it will be direct deposited in another account. Turbo apparently isn't eligible or having some kind of problems with economic relief payments. Last time I will use turbotax for anything. Credit Karma is doing taxes now for free for what i pay turbo to do.
I was just able to do this today then I found out even tho I had a turbo tax card it said they did not have my direct deposit information. They then gave me this option to add it and receive my payment to my pay pal direct deposit. If you want it on your turbo tax card I think they want to personally verify it before they make any mistakes. I usual throw my cards away after I exhaust them so it makes sense. Go to this irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment

I just got my deposit on my Turbo tax card that was also used for the Tax advance earlier this year. Also IRS website showed my bank number as my last 4 digits of SSN. I STILL RECEIVED MY DEPOSIT AT 1:50 PM Wednesday
Did you check the irs website prior to seeing your deposit? Looking for some clarity. Myself & 2 neighbors filed 2019 with TT, all 3 of us got advances & have our cars. The 2 neighbors both check irs & it said deposited into account # with the last 4 of their ssn. When I checked it said I was eligible, but more info was needed (bank info). I tried entering my normal bank account & it said it didn't match what was on file; I then used the bank information from my 2019 tax return and it again said it wasn't accurate & locked me out for 24 hours.
The website, app and customer service number are down so how do we even get our cards information???
everyone around me is getting their payments, except me. i was one of the first ppl to file my taxes for '19 filed jan 9th had my refund put of tt card so i could get the refund advance. when i checked on the irs website today , the get my payment tool says that im eligible for the payment but they do not have my bank info.... weird because i filed for 2019 so i go to try to put my actual bank of america account in and after verifying all my info and agi from '19 , they tell me the info does not match their records and i have been locked out for 24 hours. so who the hell knows when ill get my money because you cant talk to anyone at the irs. so f'ing frustrating!
