To access your prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the section Your tax returns & documents.  Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created.  TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

One important factor in getting past returns: You DO NOT HAVE TO PAY AGAIN! Go to the account you filed with in the past year, sign in and start a return, until you get to the section that says "let's get you registered" continue through registration. Once that is done you will be able to access your past year's return through My Documents, or Print Center under Tools

Once you get signed in, start a new return, until you get to "let's get you registered" Complete the registration and you will be able to access your past returns. You do not have to pay or file to access them, just register in the current year

The option for "My Turbo Tax" is not available.

The options for "My Tax Timeline" is not available.

All that is available is a "Let's Go" button to start my latest taxes.

I don't want to do this years taxes with Turbo Tax.  I am a customer of like 10 years.  I just want to access my past returns, download them and leave.  Below is a screenshot of what my screen looks like so you understand my frustration.  Searching just leaves me to help articles like this one that don't address my situation.

Please help.  this is infuriating.

BTW: I SAW the menu to download past returns when I first logged in, but when I clicked to download it, I was BLOCKED from doing so, until I chose a "turbo tax product" to purchase.  I chose the "free" option (since I only want to download my past returns).  Once I did, I was presented with the screen depicted in the screenshot, and COULD NOT Find the menu to download past returns anymore.  What bad user design.

Based on your screen image above, it looks like you haven't proceeded far enough for the menu options to change.    After you choose the blue button "Let's go" and answer some preliminary questions, the left menu column should change.   You didn't mention if you actually tried to proceed with that button.

NOTE:  In one of your comments above you also mentioned trying to find "My TurboTax", and "My Tax Timeline."   Those are old features in the old website design that changed around 2018 or so when the website was re-designed.  References to them in old posts no longer apply.   Unfortunately, this forum has a lot of old posts from that time period.

  @Promise0921 You have to access your own account and/or  print it for yourself using exactly the same account and user ID that you used when you prepared the return.

Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them.  Log out of the account you are in now.

Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax?  If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.

When I select 2018 and then try to click any of my tax documents from that year, I get this screen -- even though 2020 was not selected. I need to access 2018 documents.

cool-- that didn't answer the question at all. I took all of those steps and got the screenshot provided. The problem is the system is not recognizing that I'm asking for 2018 and have clicked 2018.
