Ok well my husband did his taxes way earily and got his return in the first wave of people but his third stimulas , has yet to come and still says hes elegable but no date yet!!?
I am still waiting for my third stimulus. My children are still waiting on the Social Security survivors benefits stimulus as well. Anyone else?
Yes, as of 8/17, I’m still waiting. I’ve all but given up
@Shaykrieser What do you mean by "my children are still waiting for Social Security survivor benefits stimulus..." ?
Stimulus checks are not sent to people who can be claimed as dependents. Your children will not receive stimulus checks. YOU can get the stimulus money for claiming your children if you file a 2020 tax return and use the recovery rebate credit to get the 1st and/or 2nd EIP payments for claiming your children on your tax return.
The stimulus check is an advance on a credit you can receive on your 2020 tax return. If something went wrong or you did not get the stimulus check in 2020, you can get it when you file your 2020 return in early 2021
The Recovery Rebate Credit will be found in the FEDERAL REVIEW section. ( you should see "Let's make sure you got the right stimulus amount”) If you are eligible it will end up on line 30 of your 2020 Form 1040.
Make sure that you enter ALL of the stimulus money received for the 1st and 2nd stimulus for yourself, your spouse and your children.

The 3rd stimulus checks are being issued by the IRS. There is nowhere on a 2020 tax return to enter anything about the 3rd stimulus payment. That payment goes to eligible adults and to the adults who claim dependents. Dependents do not receive those checks.
TurboTax cannot track your 3rd stimulus or tell you when it will arrive. The IRS is issuing 3rd stimulus checks on its own timetable.
You can use the IRS Get My Payment site to see what is expected for your 3rd stimulus check:

Here it is almost September I’ve received my federal taxes and still no stimulus. Been saying the same message since the bank closed my account.in April . Maybe I’ll get it for Christmas 🎄🎅🏼🇨🇽
Have you received your yet? We’re in the same boat and it’s the beginning of November. I have no words.
@aerdna2010 You are posting to a thread that has so many posts from so many different users it is impossible to tell who you are asking your question to-----"Have you received your yet?" or what "same boat" you are in.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2020 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
To track your state refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

The IRS is opening mail within normal timeframes and all paper and electronic individual refund returns received prior to April 2021 have been processed if the return had no errors or did not require further review. As of October 9, 2021, we had 7.1 million unprocessed individual returns. Unprocessed individual returns include tax year 2020 returns with errors and those returns requiring special handling such as those that require correction to the Recovery Rebate Credit amount or validation of 2019 income used to figure the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC). This work does not require us to correspond with taxpayers but does require special handling by an IRS employee so, in these instances, it is taking the IRS more than 21 days to issue any related refund and in some cases this work could take 90 to 120 days. The IRS is having to correct significantly more errors on tax returns than in previous years. The IRS has reduced the number of returns requiring special handling from an historical high of 9.8 million on May 1, 2021 to the current level of 242,000 individual returns as of October 9, 2021. If a correction is made to any RRC, EITC or ACTC claimed on the return, the IRS will send taxpayers an explanation. Taxpayers are encouraged to continue to check Where’s My Refund? for their personalized refund status and can review Tax Season Refund Frequently Asked Questions.
How long you may have to wait: The IRS understands the importance of timely processing of tax returns and refund issuance. We have processed all error free refund returns received prior to April 2021 and continue to work the returns that need to be manually reviewed due to errors. We are continuing to reroute tax returns and taxpayer correspondence from locations that are behind to locations where more staff is available, and we are taking other actions to minimize any delays. Tax returns are opened and processed in the order received. As the return is processed, whether it was filed electronically or on paper, it may be delayed because it has a mistake including errors concerning the Recovery Rebate Credit, is missing information, or there is suspected identity theft or fraud. If we can fix it without contacting you, we will. If we need more information or need you to verify that it was you who sent the tax return, we will write you a letter. The resolution of these issues could take 90 to 120 days depending on how quickly and accurately you respond, and the ability of IRS staff trained and working under social distancing requirements to complete the processing of your return.
What you should do: In most instances, no further action is needed but you may check Where’s my refund or you can view your account. If you filed electronically and received an acknowledgement, you do not need to take any further action other than promptly responding to any requests for information. If you filed on paper, check Where’s my refund? If it tells you we have received your return or are processing or reviewing it, we are processing your return, but it may be under review. We’re working hard to get through the backlog. Please don’t file a second tax return or contact the IRS about the status of your return.
Well. I pushed reply and assumed it was replying to the thread I was on. This is in regards to the stimulus, hence that was the long conversation thread I was reading. Thank you for the information though.
@aerdna2010 If you are trying to find out about the third stimulus check, TurboTax cannot help with that. TurboTax gets NO information about your 3rd stimulus check. There was no place to enter anything about that 3rd EIP payment on your 2020 tax return. The IRS is issuing those payments. If you do not receive it this year then you will be able to claim it as a credit on your 2021 tax return, if you are eligible for it.
TurboTax cannot track your 3rd stimulus or tell you when it will arrive. The IRS is issuing 3rd stimulus checks on its own timetable.
