Credit Karma says it is "unable to verify my personal information" and will not let me apply for a refund advance...what's the problem?

Only Credit Karma would be able to provide assistance with verifying your identity on their end. You can contact them via their Contact Us link. 

Although TurboTax and Credit Karma are both a part of Intuit, they are separate products. Please see  Is Credit Karma a part of TurboTax? for more information.

I have contacted them, and they are no help at all. They seem to be aware of a problem, but are reluctant to admit it, and have no idea when they might get it fixed.

Can you verify what application you are using, Are you using the Online application?

I’ve tried the app, I’ve tried online, I’ve tried an iPad, an iPhone, and a desktop computer 🤷‍♀️

🥳Hallelujah!! 🙌 it isn't just me!! 😭 I have been wondering the same thing. Credit karma--I just got off the chat and he said even if I call and talk to them on the phone they still can't verify my identity, or send a picture of my license?? He said noo!! 😡 I said well that doesn't even make sense because I'm trying to get the advance as well. PLEASE ANYBODY WITH A LOGICAL BRAIN THAT HAS KIND OF SENSE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME HOW THAT EVEN MAKES ANY TYPE OF SENSE?!?!🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ 🤣 ♀️i qualify for everything else all my information matches with the TurboTax nothing has changed so it doesn't make sense and I've ended up with no answers whatsoever it doesn't make sense at all I'm very frustrated. It's not even TURBO TAX FAULT!! Just wish they'd make it a little more convenient and let us choose the account we want the advance to avoid situations like this! 🥴💀

Really I understand what they're trying to do, but it shouldn't matter where it gets deposited too, you know your bank account... maybe your PayPal card or whatever you know. I don't know I don't get it. it's all about promotion and money I understand that, but at the same time they're still getting it back because it's your money anyways you paid it in taxes boy I tell you the IRS is something ain't they?!

yes, I agree. Makes absolutely no sense at all how they can't verify a person's identity like any other app or Bank or you know institution does I definitely feel like TurboTax needs to drop them because they obviously don't want to do their job!! @alaskagirl64 you know?! Because all my information on both sites is literally exactly the same so I don't understand it and I was chatting live for a long time on Credit Karma's site. After the 4th and final transfer, like they were trying to avoid me 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I just think TurboTax could do better with this situation. My taxes are on hold now 🙄😤until Im calling to speak to a supervisor tomorrow.
