I finally got an answer the irs sent me a letter saying I didn't have my 1095 a form on my tax return so I called healthcare marketplace it takes 40 days to receive a 1095 a form by mail. I have no printer or a computer except my phone. So no I have to wait . This really sucks!
Filed my taxes in the beginning of March 2020. Finally called a Tax Advocate in June. The Tax Advocate Service worked on my case and found out there was a problem with healthcare credit. I never received a letter in the mail. They worked on it all summer until the Fresno Office finally opened. It finally got processed Thursday. Economic Impact payment has also been scheduled. 7 months total processing time.
Basically what you're saying is tax advocate really no help at all great thanks for the update

Did you e-file your tax return and was it accepted?
Only the IRS and your State control when and if a Federal or State tax refund is Approved and Issued.
You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section. In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large Orange button labeled "Transmit my returns now".
After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.
Note - Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund. Only the taxpayer listed on the tax return can obtain the status of a tax refund or a tax return.
To check the status of an e-filed return, open up your desktop product or log into your TurboTax Online Account. You can find your status within the TurboTax product.
If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899433-how-do-i-track-my-state-refund
After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.
See this IRS website for federal tax refund FAQ's - https://www.irs.gov/refunds/tax-season-refund-frequently-asked-questions
If over 21 days since being Accepted by the IRS and the tax refund is still Processing you can call the IRS and speak with an IRS agent concerning your tax refund.
Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday
When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
- When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don't enter anything.
- After it asks twice, you will get another menu.
Press 2 for personal or individual tax questions.
Then press 4 for all other inquiries
It should then transfer you to an agent.
"why cant they just call us and tell us whats going on"
The IRS NEVER calls you. If anyone calls you and says they are from the IRS it is a scam. And TurboTax does not call you.....TurboTax does not get any information about your tax return after you file it, so no one at TurboTax can provide you with an update regarding your refund or stimulus check.
Communication is the key,now there have to be another way that they can reach out to let us know,by letter email or sum form of communication in this crisis that every body is living in doing this pandemic
I have had major problems too. They didn't pay me for the kids and had to file an amended form and still waiting, not happy! Also no stimulus for the kids either!
They are a mess!
I got half mine in June and they still owe for the kids... had to file an amended tax return and still waiting! It's a mess!!
@luffy802 just called again, they told me there should be something shown up on oct.13, but yea, nothing, and told me to Wait for another month
Hello guys I need help. My husband file taxes March 6 2019. We done heard so many excuses from IRS. It just don't make sense. Every month we get told to wait longer and longer and then one time someone told us we should recieve a check 4 to 6 weeks after it said it was processed. What should we do? Has anyone else been through this.
Im going through the same exact thing we filed March 5th and aint heard nothing
because of Covid the IRS is behind in processing returns especially these mailed in, those where taxpayers filed a non-filer return to get the stimulus (but that return filing meant no other return for the year but IRS records show there's a tax return due) and maybe even e-filed returns. the IRS has your return and is processing the return (checking it) or it's in the queue for checking. eventually the IRS will get to it and if there are no issues with it, send out your refund. if there are issues the IRS will send out a notice asking for additional info. if you move make sure you update your mailing address with the USPS and also with the IRS by filing form 8822
