I have called IRS and they say that they cannot help now what?
Thank you I received the answer I was looking for .
We filed our taxes in June 2020. It is February 2021 and it still shows being processed!!! We cannot get ahold of anyone at the IRS and TurboTax has not been able to assist at all. Can anyone give us any helpful information? Our local IRS office has closed in our city. This is insane that we cannot get any information from anyone.
very many are in the same boat, myself included. I filed March 2020 and still waiting for my 2019.
once you submit your return, it is out of TurboTax’s hands. Unfortunately, the IRS is next to useless when trying to work with them. It needs to be reformed so it can be more helpful to us.
i would say keep trying, that’s the only thing you can do.
The IRS is open and processing mail, tax returns, payments, refunds and correspondence. However, COVID-19 continues to cause delays in some of the IRS services, which includes 2019 mailed returns. For more information on when to see how long you may have to wait and what to do next, please see the FAQ provided below:

Dont know whats going on!
There are a lot of delays for federal refunds. Once your tax return has been submitted, the most up to date information will come from the IRS. The IRS releases most refunds within 21 calendar days after the e-filed return has been accepted (received), not 21 days from the e-filing date. To check on regular tax refund status via automated phone, call 800-829-1954. (This line has no information on Economic Impact Payments.)The only other way to know when your refund will be released is to use the IRS Where's My Refund tool.
Until the IRS starts processing it on their own, you may not find record of it or the website may say that you have put in incorrect information when tracking your federal refund. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated accordingly. Please see here for more information on checking the status of an e-filed return.
If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status as it moves through the process here.
See the video in this link for a really good explanation of the process:

Same! I did mine In JANUARY so I could get "ahead" and hopefully avoid all this and I'm STILL waiting. It still says "still processing" but on turbo tax it said accepted and I should've gotten it March 3rd. Well irs says still processing and it's currently 3/16/21 WTF?! I can't get ahold of a live agent. I've called and called and even waited on hold multiple times to be hung up on because"all their ppl are busy" like COME ON! MEANWHILE, my tax return is just my two stimulus checks that I should've gotten LAST YEAR! Never got EITHER of them. Had to do it through income taxes and now we're here. Wtf is going on?! This is RIDICULOUS! Imagine if one was like- ya know, I don't feel like paying taxes this year- the irs would b on your rear end so fast but when we need something, forget it. (Extremely frustrated) obv. Lol
I finally got a hold of someone at the IRS office by attempting to make an appointment at my local office. You can actually reach a live agent by trying to call your local office and then they screen you. She was able to tell me why mine was still processing, because it definitely should not take that long!!! They probably sent you a letter that you never received and so it’s just staying at processing. 🙄 Try to find a number for your local IRS office and schedule an appointment and then you’ll get a hold of a live person who can help you expedite the process and tell you what’s going on...because there is a problem. The agent told me it will never take this long. Good luck!!!
It's been over a month for me also. And the website says it's "still being processed". I was really counting on this to come in on time. I've never dealt with it taking this long before and I don't have any kids etc or unusual deductions etc either. Quite frankly I'm very upset about this if I'm being honest.
If your return has taken longer than 21 days please click here. It will give you guidance as well as assistance with contacting the IRS.
So obviously there a problem here.....
I just got a letter saying I need to"verify" my identity.. but here's the options, either by; a car loan account #, house loan account #, credit card (not prepaid, as I have PayPal and this option still didn't work for me even though it says they accept MasterCard), mortgage account # and, student loan #. Wtf. So now what?! Only other option is to call & provide information that I don't even know. So I have PILES of paperwork I just went through. Praying what they need is in there. I now have to TRY to call AGAIN and get this handled- that is if I can even reach someone. I hope your problem isn't the same as mine. Good luck!!
I havent recieved my refund or stimulas. It has been a month and its still says processing.
If it is still processing, understand the IRS is completely backed up. Give it a couple of weeks, then contact your state’s taxpayer’s advocate’s office for assistance. They are representatives who can help you figure out what to do in regards to the IRS.
I have been calling EVERY SINGLE DAY since March 1st! I've tried every single number there is even the one on the letter I got from the IRS. It repeatedly tells me they are too busy. 🤦♀️ If I can't verify my identity my tax return gets rejected. How the hell am I supposed to do so when I can't even get ahold of anyone?! I CANNOT do this online as I DON'T have any loans or credit cards. I've tried calling my local office as well even to make an apt. Nothing, "too busy" and I get hung up on. I did my return in January. Didn't get let in mail to verify identity until first week of March. Been trying to call EVER SINCE. REVERT SINGLE DAY atleast 20xs a day. It's absolutely Ludacris!!
