My return was accepted on 01/27. This is my first year filing married-jointly. We didn’t claim EIC or ACTC. Up until today my refund bars were showing however I logged in this morning and now they are gone. I have no idea why
It can be totally normal to not have an indicator bar. The IRS is currently catching up on a backlog of returns that were filed in January so they're not able to report as quickly.
Please refer to the following help article for more information about refund timing.

Anything yet? My bars left yesterday but it still is saying my return is being processed and will have a refund date when available.
The status bars disappearing is normal and happens from time to time. The IRS issues most refunds in about 21 days, although some returns take more time to review.

@daniellucas12nothing! From everything I have read so far, it seems for some reason my return was flagged for manual review, which every "specialist" can say is normal but it's not. I've never had this happen in the 13+ years I've filed my taxes. I've always gotten my refund fairly fast but it doesn't look like that's going to be the case this time.
I found out today it is processing and there’s no red flags. It’s normal. If we filed in January the returns are taking a little longer to process.
That the Wheres my refund Page will update within the next day or two. I spoke with someone via IRS.
I hope your right, but I'm going on a week tomorrow with no bars so I'm not going to hold my breath lol
This is not true. Irs has stated that the bars disappearing Is too much traffic. It happened to me a few years ago and my refund was processed as normal.
This is completely normal. It can take anywhere from a few days to 3 weeks to update their refund tool. TurboTax updates what stage your return is in and the IRS site updates when you can expect your refund:
Once your tax return has been submitted, the most up to date information will come from the IRS. Until the IRS starts processing it on their own, you may not find record of it or the website may say that you have put in incorrect information when tracking your federal refund. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated accordingly. Continue checking the Where’s My Federal Refund? tool for updates.

To the woman that said, “If your bars disappeared, you’ve been flagged for review?” Lady, no it doesn’t. THAT totally depends on the code following said “disappearance.” I’d highly recommend doing your research before commenting Karen.
As a web developer of 15+ years, I don't buy the" too much traffic and lagging" answer. The primary reason is, I filed a week ago and got my accepted message hours later and, when I check the site, the orange bar is there as it should be. But my sister who got her accepted message 22 days ago, orange bar is gone. It disappeared 2 days ago. We use the same laptop PC and the same browser.
I think the most likely reason for the disappearance is the fact that her return contains the EIC tax credit and, they aren't expected to be made available until after the 27th of February, 2020.

Is there any updates from the issues you guys are having I was accepted on 1/21 and i understand that they did not start processing until 1/27 but on 2/9 the bars are gone and says still being processed and waiting for an update. I do not have a EIC or child tax credit, it is a fairly standard return and never had a problem. It is now been 5 days so i will wait until Monday because that will be 21 days and I also tried to look up transcripts on irs site but would not accept phone number so I have to wait for mail in of pin number to access that information which I was told will help further understand what is happening without having to call them .If your status changes can you please update thanks. It would be very helpful for those with the same issue
@Britburt you are taking the right approach by being patient and giving it a little more time. If your tax refund is taking longer than the typical 21 days to receive, see this Turbo Tax FAQ regarding What to do if it's been over 21 days
