Missing w2

I filed my 2019 taxes and got a return. I worked 2 jobs and only got 1 w2 so I only filed the one and got my refund and just remembered I didn’t receive my other one. I’m sure I will end up owing. I have not received anything from the IRS, no letters or anything. What do I do? Let them find the mistake or fix it myself?

You have to amend your return to include the W-2---and do not wait until you get a letter from the IRS.  If your return has been fully processed and you received your refund you can amend it now.

If you do not have the other W-2 it is up to you to make every effort to get it from the employer.

You might need to phone, drop in, email and/or snail mail an old employer to make sure they know where to send your W-2.

Is the other employer suppose to give you a W2?  Did they take any taxes or deductions out of your pay?  Maybe they paid you as a 1099 independent contractor.

I worked for a big corporation, I moved and didn’t update my address so I didn’t get it. I paid my usual taxes but I also had bonuses on top of pay so I’m pretty sure I’ll owe.
