I attempted to e-file my taxes yesterday (I already paid the estimated tax back on April 15). But TurboTax was stuck on fixing an error on my Schedule C, in which TurboTax insisted that I remove uneccessary characters from two of the blank lines in that schedule. The lines were blank on my screen, but but every time I attempted to e-file, TurboTax would not let the e-file go through and kept asking me to re-check my Federal return. Near midnight deadline, I went back and redid the Schedule C on TurboTax, and finally, around 12:30 a.m. on October 16, the e-file went through.
However, before the e-file went through, a message appeared on a screen on TurboTax stating that e-filing was closed for the season as of the October 15 -- just a half-an-hour before, and that I would have to mail my return.
But I also received email confirmations in my inbox (date-stamped October 16, 12:30 a.m.) from TurboTax entitled, "In Progress: Your TurboTax Return Status." And shows that my state and Federal returns were sent.
So, I did those returns really get e-filed? Or, do I have to snail mail my returns?

DID YOU E-FILE?
Did you e-file? Did you go through all three steps of the FILE section and click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”
When you e-file your return you will get two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say your return has been transmitted; the second one will tell you the IRS has accepted or rejected your federal e-file. If you filed a state return, there will be a third email (usually a day or two later) that tells you if the state e-file was accepted or rejected.
Check your e-file status:

What does it say in your account? Does it show that the return was accepted? Or does it say something else---like "rejected," "printed," or "ready to mail?”
Thanks for the help, but the link you provided to check status on TurboTax did not work. Web-based TurboTax just wanted me to set up for a new TurboTax. I prepared my return with TurboTax Home and Business standalone product, although I know that it is integrated via the web/Internet for the latest updates.
Edit: I just received an email notice from TurboTax that my Federal return was rejected because the AGI that I provided for 2023 did not match what they have on filel. But that AGI was calculated by TurboTax and I took its value off of last year's return.
And, of course, my state return was rejected because the Federal was rejected.
You can try to fix it and efile again.
Try entering 0 for the AGI. The IRS might have processed your return later so the AGI didn't get entered in time. Especially if you mailed it. That works for most people. See,

If you can’t get it to efile you will have to print and mail it.

Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them. You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
Oh and for the Desktop program, To check the filing status,
In the Desktop program open your return and go up to menu item
File > Electronic Filing > Check Electronic Filing Status
