That’s what I would like to know
Is the credit karma debit card the card I will receive my federal taxes on
For more information about the Credit Karma Debit Card, please see the FAQ link posted below. I would also suggest reaching out to Credit Karma Support to get assistance with additional questions.
I DO NOT recommend using Credit Karma. They've had my tax return and stimulus money for over 2 weeks. It shows on their web site but it doesn't say it's available to me. In the meantime I have never received a debit card. We shouldn't have to wait 7-14 days for a debit card. We should have immediate access to OUR MONEY the minute it hits Credit Karma. I have been calling and I've been put on hold for too long so I email them. It takes too long for them to respond. In the meantime they still have MY MONEY!!! As soon as I get this resolved (or call an attorney) I will close all Credit Karma applications. I have also registered a complaint with the BBB. No institution should hold YOUR MONEY without you having immediate access to it. I was depending on that money and now I have to go through a complaint process.
According to my federal and NJ state tax returns, I should have had $435.02 deposited in the Credit Karma debit account that you issued. I checked my balance this morning and, after using $69.92 for one transaction, my balance is $203.06. My calculations show that I should have an additional $231.96 in that account. Please itemize for me and explain where the balance of my refund can be expected.
@loiscortney No one in this user forum has access to your card or any of your account information. If you are asking about the amount of your refund----federal and state refunds come separately and may be days weeks or even months apart. We do not know which refund you received--federal or state.
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 34of your 2020 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

I filed my return on 5/11/21. My NJ state refund has already been deposited but I am still waiting for my federal refund. How will I be notified when this refund is deposited?
@loiscortney You have to watch the IRS refund site yourself to see when your refund is issued. TurboTax never knows when or even if your refund has been sent.

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

I’m sorry for your troubles, and I’m now going on my 5th day since the IRS deposited my refund. If I may ask, what happened with your situation, how long did it take for Your funds to clear if they did? People need to get together and file a class action against these bogus , incompetent “companies “. Thanks
Yes but once the IRS has SENT/Deposited someone’s return into their partner company bank, prepaid card, etc… Intuit aka Credit Karma aka CashApp etc.. has a responsibility to release said funds to the owner of the funds !
Bottom line , DO NOT DO IT ! Use a Real bank account or even choose a check by mail over scams like credit karma ! Worst of all, if you Can get a hold of a CSR that can comprehend what you’re saying, they can’t provide any assistance!
