What do you mean? TurboTax does not mail your tax return for you. If you want to file by mail, you have to print it, sign it in ink, and mail it yourself. You should use a mailing service to track it so you will know it was received.
Is that what you mean----you did not get confirmation from the service you used? Or did you incorrectly think that TT would mail your return?
If you did not mail it yourself, it has not been filed.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
Your tax return is the form you send to the IRS that shows your income and calculates your tax. The money that the IRS sends back to you is your refund.
Are you asking about your tax return being mailed to the IRS, or your refund being mailed to you? If you are asking about your tax return being mailed to the IRS, it only gets mailed if you mail it yourself. TurboTax does not mail your tax return to the IRS for you.
Or do you mean efiled it? Did you go all the way through the File tab, through the 3 steps and hit the big orange Transmit Returns Now button?
You can check your efile status here,
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup
When you efile you get back 2 emails. The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.
When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc. What does it say?
