how to file a second business return on my business license

I purchased the Business 2021 and 2022 return TurboTax Desktop Business.  I was told I had 5 license for business and that I just needed to just set up a different sign in for the second business.  I did that, but the second sign in will not activate my TurboTax license code.  Please advise.  Thank you

Did you buy licenses for Home & Business? That product is different from the Business product.

Regardless, each tax year uses a different license code.

Did you get the programs installed and Activated with the 16 digit License Code?  What are you trying to do?  Install it on another computer?  You can buy and download both 2021 & 2022 from the same account.  You can have them both installed at the same time.   Each year has a separate License Code.

Or did you do 1 business return and want to start another separate return?  You can do unlimited returns and efile 5.   Go up to File-New Tax Return.

We cannot tell from your post what product you are trying to use.  Did you purchase the desktop TurboTax Business for a Scorps, Ccorps, multi-member partnership or estate?    Or did you purchase desktop Home and Business?

And not sure what you mean by "signing in".   If you are using desktop software you do not "sign in" or log on to an online account.  You simply launch the program from your own hard drive.   You should not be trying to enter an account or user ID if you are using desktop software.   If you are using the desktop program you should be able to go up to your toolbar and click on File and then choose New Tax Return in order to start a new return for the same tax year.

As Champ tagteam mentioned, each tax year has its own license code, so if you are preparing returns for two different tax years, you will have to enter the license code for each program when you use it for the first time.

We see people get confused and they keep logging in to online software which will require them to pay at the end.   You need to use the desktop software.   One way to tell if you are using the right software---your tool bar.   Online software has the toolbar in a black vertical column on the left side of the screen.   Desktop software has the tools up on the top of your TT screen.

If you are using online, you are using the wrong program.  You need to switch to the desktop software to get what you paid for.  You have to download it, update it and open it up from your own hard drive to use it.
