I agree with the comments from the 2023 version below, except for the 2025 version which I just finished using. Seems like quality control and user experience teams are missing the mark this year.
1. I was able to import my info from last year's filing form and W-2 from last year just fine, but whatever import comes after that (which I don't remember because I can't go back and see it) failed twice- it just reimported the W-2 again. I think. Or maybe it was some other group of importable forms. Sorry I can't remember specifically but try having a QA tester walk through the form imports to see if there's a batch that fails and defaults back to the previously already imported forms. I tried this twice and twice it re-imported forms already imported in the previous step. Luckily it copied over what was previously there, so I didn't have multiples inflating our income erroneously.
2. Include a way within the product to provide feedback, so that one can go back and provide feedback later. I believe there was a feedback form at the end but after 3 hours of doing taxes I just wanted to get away from this task and didn't provide feedback in the moment. It'd be handy to have a tab for Feedback.
3. Choosing a payment date- there's no indication anywhere of what date I chose for actually paying (April 14, 2025). I have no idea if this was transmitted to the IRS and have no idea when the IRS will take its pound of flesh, and I now have a sizeable chunk of money sitting in a low interest checking account rather for the next few weeks, 'just in case', rather than in a higher interest checking account. This information should be provided in the Filing Pending or Filing Confirmed emails AND somewhere in the product and form printouts.
Been using TT for years and was surprised at the clunkiness of it this year. Noticeable.
Thank you
Pao

Thank you for the feedback. Did Filing Instructions print for your returns? The payment date and details should be included on the instructions page.
We at Intuit TurboTax want our users to be completely delighted with their experience using our products and services, and successful in their financial lives and businesses.
Once you file your return, as long as the settings to receive communication from Intuit don’t block it, you will see a pop-up message or receive an email with a survey asking you about your experience. We encourage you to leave your notes and comments there. “Voice of the Customer” notes and comments are read and acted upon.
If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you can also leave feedback at the Final Steps tab:
Hi Dawn, thanks for the quick response.
Since I file electronically I don't print out my returns so I didn't read the summary page with filing instructions (since I was done filing electronically and didn't need instructions) - but yes I do see the payment withdrawal date for the federal return confirmed on the Filing Instructions page. However when I scroll down to the page for state filing, there's no payment date there, on the 'File By Mail Instructions' page - which since I also filed that electronically I would have no reason to look there either, since I don't mail it in.
So as you can see, some work needs to be done to make this all consistent for an electronic filer, or just put the payment date confirmation in the confirmation email where I and probably most people would expect it. Probably not too difficult to write a few lines of code to pull it from the file to the email.
As to the Final Steps tab, I missed that row of links entirely. The row above it in ALL CAPS drew my eye and fingers. Now I know it's there!
Thanks,
Pao4
I totally agree: whatever changes were made to the program and services has made it inefficient and cumbersome. In addition, al the tacked on fees make it no longer competitive: you might as well go to an accountant or tax service. After almost 20 years of trusting and using it, I will definitely NOT use it next year. It is too late to switch this year, but I am very dissatisfied..
They do not present themselves honestly, andI feel bad for all of the people they have employed to "only help you fill out the forms", because they must hear our frustration.
Agreed - “clunky” is the most appropriate description for the experience in the 2025 version. My forms wouldn’t import, fields would delete data rather than saving when hitting the Continue button (which required me to go back and fix issues before filing). All in all, I just don’t know that I felt I received good value for money. To top it all off, I was forced to buy an upgrade product because I received unemployment income last year. I don’t have a complicated tax situation at all. But because I lost my job last year, TurboTax charges me more so I can compete an additional form for them to file? This is the behavior of a scam artist, not a trusted partner. Do better.
