Cant Get in Contact with TurboTax Relating to Previous Orders.

Hi There, 

 

I cant seem to contact TurboTax about my previous order, if I call it will tell me it cant verify my email and to use the help section once you are logged in. I have done this but it will either give you an ID to use when you call (which after you put it in during the call it gets stuck in the loop of confirming your account which it will once again say it has failed and that you should login and go to the help section) or it will say that they will get someone to assist you, they ask for your phone number and when you put it in they say "A specialist will call you in about 6 minutes at (Phone Number Here)" I then waited about 30-40 minutes and then sent the message "A specialist will call you in about 6 minutes at (Phone Number Here)" back to them along with several others and got, the response was then "Sorry, but I can't get you in touch with the right person to help you with this until you finish selecting a TurboTax product and begin working on your return..." "However, I'd encourage you to pose your question to the TurboTax Community for more immediate help ?" I just need to talk to a person for heavens sake, it shouldn't be this hard. please let me know how I can manage to talk to a person about my previous order.

Sorry but Printed means you have to print it out and mail it yourself.  So it was not filed.  You can print it out now and mail it.  And be prepared for a long long wait.  Mailed returns are taking a very long time.

If you can't get the side menus to open up to access the prior year..... You need to start entering some basic Personal Info in 2022 for the side menu to open up. Just continue a little ways into 2022.

When calling TurboTax support or the TurboTax support web pages try using the key words Billing Issue

What is your question about previous orders?  Is it a billing question or something about your tax return?  Maybe we can help you here.

It is about my return, it has been 8 months since I filed but I have not received my return or the email notification saying it has been accepted, so I am wondering where it is 🙂

First check your efile status here,
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup


When you efile you get back 2 emails. The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.


When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc. What does it say?

 

Then the IRS is taking a long time to process returns this year.  Like over 6 months, maybe over 10 months.    have you checked at  IRS Where’s My Refund

Hi There, sadly for last year I only got the email saying I was done filing, never the one saying whether it was accepted or rejected. Do you happen to know where on the page I would see that, under the your tax returns and documents tab for 2021, there is a green bubble that says printed for both federal and my state, but that is it sadly. I have tried the that tool from the IRS but I get the "We cannot provide any information about your refund" message sadly :(

Thank you for all of your help, I must have misunderstood when they said that they could send it electronically or mail it, do you happen to know if there a way to electronically file it now, or is it too late?

Too late to efile 2021 and prior.    Did you try to efile it?  You must have missed a step or didn't go all the way to the end.

Na basically there were charging to have it e-filed, so they had an option to have it mailed for free, I may have missed it, but I don't remember it specifying I would have to mail it myself, thought it was two ways for them to handle it 🙂

Did you use the Online version?  There is no fee to efile it.   Efiling is free and included.  The Online fees are prepare the return whether you efile or print to mail.   It might have asked you if you wanted the fees deducted from your refund.   That is a extra charge and requires efiling.   You did pay the fees with a credit card, right?  Or did you use the Free Edition?
