Last year taxes

I just read through all 5 pages of this discussion and no one has the problem I have.  When I try to transfer my 2018 tax return Turbo Tax can't locate it.  When I go back to Turbo Tax 2018 and try to open my 2018 return which is on my computer I get  this message: 

The document "my name 18.tax2018" has the wrong tax year or some other issue that prevents us from opening it.  Please make sure you have the right file and try again.

I know I have the right file.  I don't know how to fix the tax year.  This is stored on my computer, a MacBook Pro.

You have posted in a jumbled and cluttered old multi-user thread that has many different topics and issues and has become a random question dump.  You are less likely to get assistance in a tired old thread of multiple topics.  It's nearly always best to start your own new thread where helpers are more like to see it.  

You can go to the page below and click the blue "Ask a Question" button.   When the question form appears, summarize your question in the title line (space is limited.)  Below the question title line you will see a box to enter details where you will have plenty of room to explain your situation.

  If your 2018 was prepared online last year, and if you can't find your 2018 return in that account when you look in the section "Your Tax Returns & Documents,"  then you likely have multiple accounts and signed into the wrong one.   Many people end up with multiple accounts without realizing it.   Here's how to troubleshoot for multiple accounts (User IDs) :

You can have up to 5 accounts that use the same email address for notification purposes.  A User ID may be an email address, but it doesn't have to be.  It might be only part of an email address, or it can be anything at all.

To get a list of your User IDs and recover account access, you can use the tool at the link below.  Try using your phone number first.   After that, if necessary, then run the tool on your email address(es) you can access.

NOTE: Before running the account recovery tool below, log out of all Intuit accounts including this user forum, or you might end up in a loop.  Then clear your browser Internet cache, close your browser, then reopen it, and go to the link below.  You may wish to copy this link so you can paste it into the new browser session.

If still no luck after running that on your phone number and email address(es) that you can access,  here's another method:

Go back to the tool again, but this time leave the data field blank, and choose the small blue link that says "Try something else", and it will look you up by SSN and other parameters.

You need your 2018 AGI to efile 2019. The AGI is on 2018 1040 line 7.

I need my ajusted income for 2018

You must sign into your online account using the exact same user ID that you used to create the online account.   

If you cannot log into TurboTax at the Sign In screen, go down to I forgot my TurboTax User ID or password.

You can also try to find your TurboTax account with this link.  It will take you to Account Recovery, where you can get help signing into your account.

You can also go back to the tool again, but this time leave the data field blank.  Then choose the small blue link that says Try something else, and it will look you up by SSN and other parameters.

As Hal_Al has stated, Warren city tax returns cannot be prepared in TurboTax.
