The single filing status is used if you are considered unmarried and you do not qualify for another filing status. Your filing status may be single if you were widowed before January 1, 2015, and didn't remarry before the end of 2015.
If your spouse died in 2015, you can use married filing jointly as your filing status for 2015 if you otherwise qualify to use that status.
The qualifying widow(er) filing status allows you to use joint return tax rates and the highest standard deduction amount (if you do not itemize deductions). However, you are not able to file a joint return. You may be eligible to use qualifying widow(er) with dependent child as your filing status for 2 years following the year your spouse died. For example, if your spouse died in 2014, and you haven't remarried, you may be able to use this filing status for 2015 and 2016. Please see the IRS
Filing Status Publication for more information.

You can file federal (IRS) returns if you have a non-U.S. address. However, there are some restrictions regarding foreign-address returns: •Due to IRS regulations, you will need a U.S. bank account to receive your tax refund. •Similarly, you'll need a U.S. bank account or credit card with a U.S. billing address to pay owed taxes and product fees. •The optional NetSpend Premier® Visa® Prepaid Card and Refund Processing Service require a U.S. or APO/FPO/DPO address. •Free products (for example, TurboTax Federal Free Edition and Easy Extension) which require registration in lieu of payment require a U.S. or APO/FPO/DPO address.

Yes, you will include the payments you received from Georgia while you were living in Oregon on your Oregon return. If you paid taxes to the state of Georgia, you will file a Georgia return to have the amount paid to Georgia while you were in Oregon refunded. Taxes are based on the state where you lived at the time you received the payments not where the company or organization is located that distributes the payments.

You are not able to deduct registration fees on your federal return. For fees to be deducted, they must be assessed based on the vehicle's value. The state of Kansas does not assess taxes based on value. However, you are able to deduct personal property tax on the vehicle. The taxes must be assessed annually and must be based on the value of personal property you own. For more information, see: IRS Publication 17, Chapter 22, Taxes
