I had to confirm my identity. And was told I would have to wait an additional 9 weeks for my refund :(

 No TurboTax is going to take the money out of your checking account whatever you provided them because I’ve got several emails stating that because  I signed up for them to take it out of my federal return that they’re going to take it out of my checking account since my return has not been received by the federal government and the IRS said that was ridiculous that they can’t do that they should be able to do that and they’ve never heard of such a thing in the past 30 years and that’s ridiculous to do that to people all I’m going to take all the money out of my checking account and close it! I will never use TurboTax again they want me to put it on a credit card and they act like I have money  no I literally have no money since you guys screwed up my return because I see math errors on your live version And prior years so I’m thinking about hiring attorney

Well when you’re employees told her me and another woman that this was complete bullshit there’s no fine print in there that says if we don’t get a return that we’re going to have to give you money by a certain date you guys are Scam Artist I am paying you so much money when I could’ve done it all for free on your website but guess what I’m gonna make sure everyone I know never use your services again and I will keep on spreading that bullshit until you back off my checking account I’m already going through enough stress as it is thinking I might be getting audited because of you

The IRS initiated that for your tax return.  It has nothing to do with the TurboTax software you used to prepare, complete and file your tax return.  If you selected to have the TurboTax account fees deducted from the federal tax refund, then those fees will still be deducted after the IRS issues your tax refund.  But if the IRS is still holding your tax return for 36 days after the original estimated refund date then TurboTax can debit your account.
