TURBOTAX TOOK MONEY OUT OF MY BANK ACCOUNT
Did you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund? Is your refund taking an unusually long time to arrive? Or was your refund seized to pay a debt you owed? if so, you signed an agreement that says TT can withdraw its fees from your account. TurboTax would have sent several emails to you before they took the money out of your account.

Turbo Tax says......
We understand that these are unprecedented times and we’re committed to helping our customers who are experiencing hardships. If you’re in need of assistance, call us by the Tuesday prior to your debit date at 1-888-808-1723 to speak with a trained specialist and mention “auto-debit”, or visit TurboTax Support.
You should check your spam email folder. You should have gotten like 4 emails before they took it out of your account. Now when the IRS sends your refund they won't take the fees out again, except maybe the Extra $40 Refund Processing Service charge (45 in California).
Did you not notice the fees clearly listed in step 1 of the FILE tab ? And then the option to have those fees withheld from the federal refund in step 2? And the contract you had to sign and agree to twice before filing ?
If you truly wanted to use one of the FREE versions you could have stopped at step 1 and gone a different way.

I finally received my tax refund from 2022-2023. I was charged over $252.00 for my tax preparation and finally sent a cashier's check from green dot. Why was I charged so much for simple tax preparation?
@Adraughn9 Have you factored in the TurboTax account fees and the TPG service charge of $40 plus any applicable sales tax?
