Why can't I do my state taxes. Turbo tax won't walk me through the state tax process

Virginia.  It's my one free state that comes with Turbo Tax Premier.  I went through my return once including the State OK.  I didn't go as far as filing the return because I wanted to change something on the State return.  When I tried to do the state the second time it went and calculated the return and when I tried to edit it , Turbo tax didn't respond when I hit the edit button.  No error message ,just nothing.

Can you try the steps provided below to see if that resolves your issue:

• Log completely out of your TurboTax account
• Clear cache and delete cookies
• Then log back in and see if you are still having the same issue

You can also try using a different web browser. If you are still having the same issue after trying the above steps, please respond back here and let us know.

I am not doing my taxes with online turbo tax.  I have the software and am using it off  line on my computer.

But anyway that sounds like good advice for a online user.   Thanks.

You know the drill. Save and close your tax return, and close TurboTax. Then re-open TurboTax and re-open your tax return. Then go back to the state and see if it works. Throw in a Reboot for good measure.

Worse case, delete Virginia and re-add it, but I think you can probably avoid that.
