TurboTax's software uses the laws of your state when your state returns are calculated. Just enter your SSA1099 in your federal and let TT do the calculations.
States that tax Social Security benefits:
CO, CT, KS, MN, MO, MT, NB, NM, RI, UT, VT
TT will automatically make the adjustment on the state form - I wouldn't worry about it

TAX ON SOCIAL SECURITY
Up to 85% of your Social Security benefits can be taxable on your federal tax return. There is no age limit for having to pay taxes on Social Security benefits if you have other sources of income along with the SS benefits. When you have other income such as earnings from continuing to work, investment income, pensions, etc. up to 85% of your SS can be taxable.
What confuses people about this is that before you reach full retirement age, if you continue working while drawing SS, your benefits can be reduced if you earn over a certain limit. (For 2019 it was $17,640— for 2020 it was $18,240; for 2021 it was $18,960. For 2022 it was $19,560 — for 2023 $21,240)
After full retirement age, no matter how much you continue to earn, your benefits are not reduced by your earnings; your employer will still have to withhold for Social Security and Medicare. If you work as an independent contractor then you will pay self-employment tax for Social Security and Medicare.
To see how much of your Social Security was taxable, look at lines 6a and 6b of your 2022 Form 1040

You need to file a federal return if half your Social Security plus your other income is $25,000 when filing single or head of household, or $32,000 when filing married filing jointly, $0 if you are filing married filing separately.
Some additional information: There are 11 states that tax Social Security—Colorado, Connecticut, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Rhode Island, Utah, and Vermont These states offer varying degrees of income exemptions, but two mirror the federal tax schedule: MN and VT.
Missouri does NOT tax Social Security benefits as of January 1, 2024. However, Turbo Tax does not appear to have implemented that change in the current version of the 2024 Missouri 1040.
@Missouri Mike Many MO forms are not yet ready so you will need to be patient.

Forms availability
Missouri Mike is correct! I had a phone conversation with a TurboTax representative this morning and suggested that there may be a programming issue with the exclusion of social security income from Missouri state income taxes (new for tax year 2024). No solution at this point.
If the forms are not yet available in TurboTax for electronic filing or printing, that means that they are not ready to use.
Once the availability calendar says the form is available and you see that the Social Security income is not excluded from Missouri income, then please come back and post a message so that this can be investigated further.
You can use the links provided above by xmasbaby0, or see the TurboTax help article below to check the availability of your state forms.
When will my individual tax forms be available in TurboTax?
@Missouri Mike
The new MO 1040 excludes Social Security from taxable income, so problem solved there. However, there would appear to be an error with respect to the calculation of the Missouri subtraction for Medicare premiums. We moved from Missouri to Illinois mid-year, yet Turbo Tax is allowing us to deduct 85% of the Medicare premiums we paid during all of 2024, not just those that we paid during the time we lived in Missouri. The folks in Jeff City probably won't allow us to get away with that....
Here is an FAQ: Why is Form MO-A Section D calculating incorrectly? You can sign up here for updates.
TurboTax included my Social Security benefits on my state return and New Jersey does not tax them and now my return is being held up
