Dear Team, I want to file my tax return for the year 2016. Is it possible to file and get the return. If so what is the option.

If all you have is a W-2 (nod dependents or other complications), you may want to try filing by hand and save the Turbotax fee*. <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://www.irs.gov/forms-instructions">https://www.irs.gov/forms-instructions</a> or "Google" free 2016 tax forms

* The free versions of TT are no longer available after October 15 of each year.

You have to buy the Desktop CD/Download program here https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/     

Or you can get the blank forms from the IRS and do them by hand.  Either way you will have to print and mail prior year returns.  And send each year in a separate envelope so the IRS doesn't miss any.

Use the CD/Download program for 2016 on your PC to do that tax return.
You'll have to mail it to the IRS.

Use a mailing service that will track it, like UPS or certified mail, so you will know the IRS received it.
