Trying to efile my return, but keep getting error message when it comes time to pay the filing charge. Asks how I want to pay. I select "pay with card". Systems reaches out to intuit.com for my account info/credit card info. Comes back with error message saying "Hmmm ... Looks like we've hit a snag. Please try again or come back in a bit". I've tried continuously to no avail. Not sure they could have provided a less helpful message.
I've tried going into my Intuit account and changing credit cards. I've tried creating a new intuit account with a new credit card. Nothing works. Thought it might be a system outage problem, so tried again the next day, but keep getting same message.
Any ideas?

Not really much help here....
1) Reboot your computer before trying.
and/or
2) IF using desktop software on Windows computer, rt-click on the TTX icon and select "Run as Administrator"
and/o
3) Change your system's default browser...(even if using desktop software). Especially the Brave browser has some kind of high firewall setting that may prevent payment data form getting thru. On any browser, make sure its security setting is not set at its highest level.
or
4) maybe some virus software setting that needs to be suspended momentarily???

Customer Support:
What is the TurboTax phone number? (intuit.com)
You need to call support during the hours between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM Mountain Time Monday through Friday. The support person needs to contact the billing department and have the block removed from your account. If they do not know how to do that ask for a supervisor.
After speaking with my 5 Intuit TurboTax Support specialist, I finally got resolution. Interestingly, it wasn't what I expected. Apparently, there were some forms that were created with my (Georgia) state (not federal) return, that are not accepted by TurboTax Efile, and as a result, I kept erroring out. Why TurboTax doesn't give more information in their error message to make the problem solving quicker and easier, is beyond me. I was fortunate to come across an agent that must have seen this problem before, otherwise I'd have been stuck in call center perdition.
Anyways, thanks to Agent Tammy! Alls well that eventually ends well!
I have the same problem with my 2024 state return e-filing for Virginia. Do you remember by any chance what forms caused problems for you and how exactly you fixed the problem? Hope to save some time with the conversation with support specialist.
Many thanks in advance.
Here's a link to check State Form Availability.
Also interesting, with the error when trying to pay for State Efiling, another user was successful when changing the Billing Address of the credit card to '123 Main Street'.
Thank you for the link, very helpful. I noticed that the primary Virginia tax return form VA760CG Virginia Resident Income Tax Return for individuals is not listed in the table at all. Is it an oversight? Whom should I ask? Thank you.
I am receiving the same error, "Hmm... it looks like we've hit a slight snag", however, I am filling Minnesota state taxes. When I follow the link to Minnesota form availability, it says that the Info Worksheet is unsupported for e-file? What does that mean? That form does not get filed and you can not delete it. Does this situation mean that I have to mail in my Minnesota Tax returns? That TOTALLY defeats the reason that I use Turbo Tax. I have been on calls with Turbo Tax support for over an hour now, this is obviously a software bug, how do I get this fixed?
Yes, this means if you use the Minnesota Information Worksheet, the return is not eligible for e-file. Simply print and mail your tax return if you need to use the worksheet. If you don't need the worksheet, use the steps below to delete it from your return.
Always use extreme caution when deleting information from your tax return. There could be unintended consequences.
If you explain what might be on the worksheet we may be able to provide more guidance

Hello, I am using Turbo Tax for Windows, not Turbo Tax online. Here is the advice from the Turbo Tax website about deleting forms, "While it's OK to delete blank, duplicate, or irrelevant forms, we don't recommend deleting valid forms or schedules, for example nonfinal forms or forms that won't let you e-file. Understand that deleting a form or schedule may create new, unforeseen problems before proceeding."
These are the instructions for deleting a form in TurboTax for Windows from the Turbo Tax Website.
Windows instructions
When I follow the instructions above and select Delete Form, I get an error, "Cannot Delete This Form". This is a system generated form and can not be deleted. The only way to delete this form is to delete the entire Minnesota return, which totally defeats the purpose of purchasing the Turbo Tax state product. So does printing my return and mailing it in. This also raises a much larger question, has ANYONE in Minnesota been able to e-file with TurboTax 2024?
You will have to mail the Minnesota return since the Minnesota Information Worksheet isn't available to E-file.
YES! That's what I tried to do yesterday and after 2 hrs on the phone, my tech person couldn't get through to BILLING! And I can't call directly. This is really frustrating.
You can't change the billing address in my case because it hangs up right before that screen!
You are having the same issue that I am having with my Minnesota return. If you look at the list of supported files for California, you will see that the California Information Worksheet, is not supported for e-file. The state specific Information Worksheet is created as soon as you load the software for the state. Since this is a system generated form, you can not delete it. Here is a link to the supported forms for California.

Only Turbo Tax can fix this and they have not fixed it for Minnesota, so I had to print and mail three tax returns, which takes six weeks to process as opposed to 72 hours for an electronic return.
Next year, I'll be using Tax Act!
Thanks Joe. My issue was related to billing. The "Help" drop down menu on the upper LEFT of the TT screen has an option to pay by phone. I was on the phone with TT and it worked! It only took 7 minutes this time but yesterday was 2 hours with no success. And 2 other calls before that!
I have read multiple posts about what you are referring to, but somehow that didn't affect me. Hmmm ... I wish you the best of luck!
I do believe my issue was related to credit card # but it wouldn't let me update it. Frustrating indeed.
