And what if you have tried that? My account was deactivated even though I used it to file my taxes last year. I have contacted them FOUR times and completed the process all four times and it is still deactivated. Every time I call they just have me do the same futile steps. What am I supposed to do now? I'm at my wits end. I have been dealing with this since the end of January.

You can try recovering your account with your phone number. All  you need is the account information that was used to set up your account. If you don't have that information or you need assistance getting back into your account, you can follow the steps in this TurboTax FAQ here.

You can also try something else. Go back to the tool again, but this time leave the data field blank, scroll down a bit, then choose the small blue link that says "Try something else."
