@turbotaxbaseball Sorry---no one in the user forum can delete your post. But your phone number is not there. The filter took care of that, so you do not have to worry about your number.
Completely Agree. Impossible to get help from this company. IRS says it never got the return that TurboTax says was accepted but when I try to get someone to talk to about it, the stupid phone tree keeps telling me it can’t find a return with my SS# even though I’ve filed with them for years! ARRGGGH!

If you got an "accepted" email after yiu filed then the IRS did in fact receive it. The accept message comes from the IRS after they received it and is forwarded to you.
And no SSN is required to call TurboTax.
There is no single published number because it changes contently depending on the nature of the call and agent availability. Following the link below will either give a current number for you to call or take your number for a callback.
Here is a TurboTax FAQ for contacting customer support.

A . The number in the hyperlink you attached (and the number which every other search takes you to) is the number I called several times. It is answered by a bot and you have no opportunity to request to speak with a human.
B. That bot will absolutely ask for your SS #. She will say before she can help with any information on your refund status, she needs certain pieces of information, the first being the SS# of the person who filed the return. She will then tell you that she cannot find an account with that number and disconnect you. This is ridiculous, particularly because she can tell my email address from the phone number I called from. The idea that she can’t figure out what account I am talking about when I have been a customer with TurboTax for years is laughable.
C. I did not receive an email from the IRS. My TurboTax account information page says that my Amended Return was accepted. That’s all. The IRS says it wasn’t. And I need to talk to someone about why there is a discrepancy between the two.
@Mquinn0222 This thread has become very confusing because so many different users have posted here. But it sounds like your frustration stems from wanting to know the status of a return you amended. If you e-filed an amended return and got an email from TurboTax that says the amended return was accepted----that information came from the IRS and TT just shared the news with you that your amended return was accepted.
But....you do not say how long ago you amended. It is taking the IRS months to process amended returns, so you should not expect quick results from an amended return, and should not even expect to see any information quickly on the IRS site about it. They are severely backlogged.
Even during “normal” times it takes about four months for the IRS to process an amended return. During the pandemic and due to the severe backlog at the IRS it is taking much longer—six months or more for many amended returns. Do not expect quick results from amending. When the IRS issues a refund for an amended return it will be by check. They do not make direct deposits for refunds for amended returns. You can watch for information here:
https://www.irs.gov/Filing/Individuals/Amended-Returns-(Form-1040-X)/Wheres-My-Amended-Return-1
Thanks. That’s the most helpful information yet. It was filed back in May. I know there is big delays, but I would expect the IRS to at least acknowledge they received the Amended Return and they are processing it. That is not the case.
When I go to the link you provided, the IRS says it cannot provide me any information on my Amended Return.

What are you doing and trying to pay for? Are you asking in regard to the upcoming 2021 TurboTax being released in November, and are you a TurboTax Advantage member with an annual subscription and need to change the credit card in your Advantage account? If so, see this FAQ:
FAQ: How do I update or confirm the info in my TurboTax Advantage account?
Why can't I file my taxes. I paid for you to file them on May 15th.
Ok ... you may have paid the TT fees but YOU are the one who must file the return by completing step 3 in the FILE tab. If you did not do so already then it is now too late to efile the return ... you must print, ink sign and mail in the return.
@Susan lyon Paying your fee does not file your tax return. If you did not go all the way through the FILE section and click that big orange button that says "Transmit my returns now" your tax return was not e-filed. E-filing is closed permanently now, so if your return was not filed, you need to print, sign and mail it.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
I downloaded Turbotax Deluxe for 2021 for my iMac on November 3, but there was no license code to open the software. Interestingly there was a code for the 2020 edition which I have no use for.
When can I expect to receive the license code for the for Turbotax Deluxe for 2021. I understand there was a glitch in sending the software package. Waiting....
