The $30 Charge at the end is for live tax advice and access to extra documents. This is my third year with turbotax and i haven't paid them a dime for their services, and they have done exceptionally well with my taxes and i am going to continue to use them for years to come.

What can I do to reduce my fees?

If your TurboTax fees are higher than expected, you can reduce them by removing add-ons:

As a last resort, you can clear and start over to remove all fees and start from scratch as long as you haven't paid, registered, or deducted the TurboTax fee from your refund.
