Should forms be ready if I got an email saying so? I signed up for notifications on IT-213 and IT-558 for NYS and got the email saying they're ready. They're not.

I got the email saying my forms were ready, and specifically listed IT-213 and IT-558 for NYS being ready. When I go to file my State taxes, I still get "It looks like some of your tax forms aren't ready" and under "Available to File" it says "Ready soon." Was the email in error? Or do I need to fix something? I've tried multiple browsers, clearing the cache, etc.

Your website says Maryland Form 504NR, Fiduciary Nonresident Income Tax Calculation is ready. (as of March 27, 2021)

However, when I start Turbotax Business, and updates are completed, Turbotax says this form will be "Ready Soon"

Is there a bug in your form updating that is preventing this form from being available in Turbotax Business?

Thank you.

All versions of the TurboTax software are not updated at the same time. Please refer to the note you received from TurboTax and see what version of the software it was was available now.

I will also provide to you a link to the TurboTax Expected Availability link for state forms that you can check at any time.  To use it,  you would click on the version of the software you are using.

IRS or the state taxing authorities must give forms paper print approval and e-file approval for all forms before they can be used in all softwares.

Here is the TurboTax State forms Availability link:

From your link, I followed through to this page:

https://care-cdn.prodsupportsite.a.intuit.com/forms-availability/turbotaxbusiness_states.html

And then to my specific business type and state:

https://care-cdn.prodsupportsite.a.intuit.com/forms-availability/turbotaxbusiness_md_windows_fiducia...

On this page, the Form 504NR, Fiduciary Nonresident Income Tax Calculation paper form is listed as "available"

There is no efile option for Maryland fiduciary returns, so no status is listed for efile availability (expected).

So, since there is only a paper form for Maryland Form 504NR, why is Turbotax saying the 504NR is "Ready Soon"?

As a result of the "Ready Soon" status, Turbotax will not let me complete my Maryland return -- I am stuck.

@ss6363, If you are using TurboTax Business Software, you might want to try to manually update using the FAQ link provided below to see if that resolves the issue with you seeing "Ready Soon." Please let us know if this helps:

Your suggested manual update to TurboTax Business 2020, by way of the link provided and the subsequent "Manually Update TurboTax Business Software" page, did not fix the issue I am having. The update finally succeeded but did not solve my problem.

Please note that the initial try with the manual update failed with an error -- and I retried it about 5 times. I was left with TurboTax Business 2020 broken and unusable. I had to uninstall and reinstall TurboTax Business 2020 from the disc, and it was to this fresh installation that I applied the manual update finally with success.

To conclude, the manual update succeeded, but the problem with the Maryland 504NR form being "Ready Soon" remains. I am still unable to complete my return.

Is there another way to fix this issue?

Hello TurboTax Employee Specialist: As I said Tuesday, your solution did not fix my problem, described in my previous notes.

Do you have other solutions to offer?
