Intuit we need an official response and date for resolution
Same transmission error that I need to update the software, but no update. Same issue if I try just Federal. Intuit, we need an estimate ETA for this problem.
Same problem in Wisconsin
I also had the same problem, started yesterday (Sat 2/8). I was still having the same problem today Sun 2/9. I called Intuit TT support on 2/8 and was told by that person she had heard from several others about the same problem and to wait. Tried e-file again Sun 2/9 and still had the same problem. If you try to uninstall TT it also gives you a repair option. I tried the repair tool and got an error message with code 1334 (I'm using Windows 10 with a PC download version). So I uninstalled and reinstalled TT, thinking there was a corrupt file on the install. After the reinstall I had the same problem. I found an .exe file on another TT support thread that forces a manual update. Downloaded and tried that with no luck. So I called TT support again and was told it is a widespread problem and common to get the error code 1334 with the repair tool. So there is a software glitch that needs to be fixed. Support gave me a code to use the online version of TT for free, which I did and got my taxes e-filed without a problem, but I had to reenter all of the info. That wasn't too bad because my filing is fairly simple. Time consuming and a pain to do taxes a second time, but it also verified what I had done the first time and came up with the same result. Although it should not have happened this way.
I'm sure they will push out another update soon with a fix for this problem, so looks like you just have to wait or contact support and do your taxes again online.

to previous response ' JakailaLO Employee TurboTax' employee answer what does my browser cookie have to do with my post "Same issue on Windows 10 desktop using the TurboTax application"?
I'm very curious as I wouldn't think a full software application (w/executable) is adding/updating cookies on my browser and if so, can you elaborate on how intrusive Turbotax is to my full desktop or link to disclosure of this intrusiveness.
Elaborate - I'm using the TurboTax 2019 Premier Application. If/when I choose Update it indicates my "Your Software is Up To Date" and I'm unable to submit E-File as it indicates there is a new update available for my TurboTax.
I have shut down all browsers (which clears any history/doesn't save cookies) and restarted without success.
I'm submitted Federal and NY returns.
Those of us asking for an official response didn’t mean for you to just drop in and copy/paste some completely unrelated “suggestions.” We’re talking about the known issue with downloaded/cd TurboTax that makes it impossible to e-file. When will that massive bug be fixed?
@JakailaLO I think we are all having problems with an installed version of Turbo Tax 2019 software on our computers - Macs and PCs. What would using a different browser or clearing cookies accomplish since I was not using a browser to begin with?
Same probably for Alabama. Waiting...
All good as of 0700 Central, State accepted without error.
I checked for updates this morning. It downloaded the update and then I was able to transmit. Huzzah! Looks like they fixed the problem. Sounds like the software does a check for the current version number on a remote server and won't allow to send unless current. I suspect someone incremented the number without posting the actual update for download. Just a guess.
Hi, I have the actual software, so there is no browser to refresh. How do I get this resolved with actual software on my mac?
I've been trying to file my return since Feb 6th. I wanted 48 hours after that to file like they said it still says "Your transmission didn't go through." I've also tried today and still didn't work. Hopefully they resolve this issue soon and we get a notice about it. MA
@dcskinner Was that with Windows or Mac? I just went back and checked, and my Mac version still doesn't find an update.
Huzzah for me too. Started TurboTax Premier and it told me there's an update. It did a big New York update, then went thru and did the filing. Since federal was done yesterday, only NYS was left, and that transmitted fine.
This is a known issue. When attempting to e-file a return in the TurboTax for Windows CD/Download software, this message appears:
There is an update available for your version of TurboTax. Before you can file electronically, you’ll need to get this update. To do this, go to the Online menu and select Check for Updates.
However, after updating, the same message continues to reappear, resulting in an endless loop.
Workaround
Some customers have been able to successfully e-file with this workaround:
