Why do I need to upgrade from TurboTax Deluxe to TurboTax Premium? It says because of capital gains/losses, but I don't have any. The free version should have been enough

Sometimes you start with the Free Edition (which is typically a simple form 1040), but as you enter more complex forms or sections you might be required to upgrade depending on your individual situation. See the link below for more details
