Since this is an older thread, we need more information to assist.  Is the above subject the error message you are getting? Please respond back here with your inquiry and someone will reach out with the next steps.

Why did I get response "Our records indicate that you are not entitled to efile one or more formsets." When I tried to efile?

Trying to e-file. After submitting, I get an error message that I'm unable to e-file. I was told by a TurboTax rep to share my tax file, and comment here with the six digit code so someone could look into it.

@czarnosky  I am reaching out because we would like to provide you with assistance.  Apparently you received instructions from a representative who directed you to provide a token code for a diagnostic copy of your returned that has all personal information scrubbed.  The agent who requested this does not monitor posts in this public forum platform, but not to worry; we are very happy to assist you.  However, it will be necessary to receive just a bit of additional information to provide you top-level service.  You mention that you are not being allowed to e-file.  Could you provide a little more detail as to why the system says you cannot e-file?  Unfortunately, we don't have access to your prior communications in this Community platform, so it is necessary to provide a little bit of repeated information, but by doing so, we should be able to know what to look for in the diagnostic copy you provide us.  Thank you again.

@csarnosky
Thank you for providing this information. We have reviewed the diagnostic file and found no issues with the forms in either of your Federal and State returns.

If you haven't already tried the solution below, please go through the steps and let us know the outcome. Basically, you will remove the state return and try again.

You can delete your state return by following these instructions.

  1. Sign in to TurboTax and open any section of your return.
  2. From the menu on the left column, select State and then select Continue on the Let's get your state taxes done right screen.
  3. On the Status of your state returns screen, select Delete next to your state, then answer Yes.
  4. Log out of TurboTax and log back in.
  5. Review your Federal return to be sure nothing has changed.
  6. From the menu on the left column, select State and then select Continue on the Let's get your state taxes done right screen.
  7. Select Choose a state and your state from the drop-down, then Continue through the state interview.
  8. Review your State return when finished.
  9. Go to File and submit your return(s) for e-file.

If you have NOT paid your state fees, you will be prompted to do so before e-filing your state return.

If you’ve already paid your state fees, you can’t delete your return, but you can start over by selecting Start Over next to your state return on the Status of your state returns screen.

Why did I get response "Our records indicate that you are not entitled to efile one or more formsets." When I tried to efile?

I followed step b and TurboTax Online is asking me to pay to file again.  I already paid.  I followed step c and now I am awaiting further instructions.  Is there a code that I can use to bypass paying to file again?

Were you able to follow the steps above posted by @PatriciaV

Please note the last paragraph: "If you’ve already paid your state fees, you can’t delete your return, but you can start over by selecting Start Over next to your state return on the Status of your state returns screen."

If you deleted the state and re-entered it and is asked to make another payment for the same state, please call Turbotax so they can waive it for you.
