I have restarted Turbo Tax and reentered the routing and account number and it will not let me enter it to verify it matches my account number from the previous page.
Are you using the online version? If so, please try the steps below to see if it will clear the issue:
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, please reach back out here in the thread and someone will follow up with the next steps.
I did those steps as well as a complete restart of the laptop. I had to go back and select a new account and input the information again and that worked.
Thank you for the update! We are so glad it went through for you.
It never did accept my bank information that had not changed from last year. After talking to a second Turbo individual who could not resolve the issue (she confirmed my bank info was what Turbo had on file) she suggested that I e-file but get my refund by check instead of auto deposit to my bank account.
I was not using the online version. After waiting over a week for a return call I called Turbo again and the employ I spoke with also suggested I clear my cache which I did. I had restarted my computer multiple times, made sure my OS was updated. She suggested I e-file and receive a check instead of auto deposit.
This reply and another came on 4/15, over a month since my original inquiry. Not a timely reply and far too late to be helpful.
Make sure to add 6 zeros before the account number… (000000123456789 not 123456789)
Dave, encounters this problem this year for 2022 filing. Had no problem last year, but like many others I did this year. Went to "tools" and located the routing number as well as the account number. Sure enough, I did not add the zeros to my account # like I was this year. Corrected the account number as reflected in " tools" and it accepted it. Thanks. Have not much confidence in the postal service anymore.
My bank routing number is the same for 2022 as 2021, which I just confirmed in person with my bank, Truist. Why does Intuit keeping telling me the routing number does not match last year's?
If you copied and pasted your routing number into TurboTax, you'll want to make sure there is not an extra space before/after the routing number.
