Turbo Tax 8889-T Form

Any idea when turbo tax's 8889-T form will be done and available? That is the only form I am waiting on to get my taxes filed.

It is available and updated:

Go back to the TAX HOME page or Click on FEDERAL

Click on Deductions & Credits

Scroll down to "Medical" (First click "All tax breaks" if needed)

Click "Show more"

Scroll down to "HSA,MSA Contributions" and click Start

Answer the interview questions

I followed the process and filled in the required info for form 8889-T and still having the same issue with filing. the form says it not done and when I try to update the software it is telling me that it is up to date.

Please help.

What version of TurboTax are you using? Online? Windows CD/download? Mac CD/download?

Having the same issue, using Window and Download version. Still telling me that form 8889-t will be available soon.

Same here. The 8889-T form has "DO NOT FILE' on it and does not update when you update the software.  here is the form https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f8889.pdf, but TT does not update.

For some reason, the update process is not updating your 8889, which indeed has been ready for a month or more.

First, I want to confirm that you actually closed the TurboTax application and then relaunched it. This will automatically do the Updates. Of course, this should be the same as clicking on Updates under Online (top leftish), but...

Second, for those of you who downloaded TurboTax from TurboTax itself, I would encourage you to redownload the original software from TurboTax.com. This maybe won't have the correct 8889, but the module is clean, so all the updates will be applied the first time you open it (with, one assumes, the updated 8889).

I have completely restarted my app and computer and still nothing. I have updated within the app as well. What else can I do?

May I assume that you purchased the software from somewhere other than the TurboTax website (see my last paragraph above)?

If you downloaded the software from TurboTax itself, please see the last line for the link, which explains how to download the software again.

If you got the software from somewhere else (Costco, etc.) then please contact TurboTax and see if they will push a module to you. See this TurboTax FAQ.

What happens when I receive an email stating that Form 8889 is ready but, when going through the steps of updating Turbo Tax is still states the form is pending. I have gone through every step recommended to finalize my return but this form is holding it up. What now?

I am having the exact same issue with Form 8889-S and Form 1040 Schedule A.  The software says the forms are not ready, but on the TurboTax website it says that it is available.  I've restarted the software and checked for updates through the software, and it still won't detect the forms are available.  Please help.

You know, I wish there was someone we could actually speak with instead of this cat-n-mouse game of writing about our issues and only getting replies back that do not work and then, another email question to ask why and on and on.
