No, this form is not included in the Free edition, unfortunately.  With the Form 1095-A, you are likely led to complete a Form 8962 Premium Tax Credit, which is not supported by the free edition.  With the information being provided, I would recommend you to use the Deluxe version which will cover all the forms you mentioned above.

The FREE edition is no longer free. Every year some bit of it slips out of the FREE and becomes part of Delux or other plans. 1095A and AOC Education credit are top two examples. Turbotax, don't be so greedy, please!

This really is pretty screwed. The free versions were set up in an agreement  between TT and other tax prep services and the IRS to give lower income people a break in the costs for tax prep. Not including 1095-A eliminates a huge number of filers that the program was designed to help!

There are 2 different Free versions.  Turbo Tax Free Edition and the IRS Free File website.  If you don't qualify for the Free Edition  you might qualify for the Free File website.

There is also The Turbo Tax Free File program which is free for federal and state.  And has more forms than the Federal Free Edition, like Schedules A, B, C , D, E, F, EIC, H, K-1, SE,  etc.

To qualify for the Free File website  you just need to meet one of these 3 things.

AGI $39,000 or less.

Active duty military with AGI of $72,000 or less

OR qualify for EIC (earned income credit.)

In order to use the Free File program, you have to start it at a special website.  Click on Sign in at the top right.  It may let you continue your return so you don't have to start over.

You can use the TurboTax Free File Program available in mid-January 2021

IRS Free File Program - https://apps.irs.gov/app/freeFile/
If you are eligible you can use the IRS Free File Program delivered by TurboTax which is free to file both a federal and state tax return. The IRS Free File Program delivered by TurboTax edition is a full featured personal tax program and on a separate website from the TurboTax online editions.

To qualify for free 2020 federal and state tax returns with the IRS Free File Program delivered by TurboTax, you'll need to meet at least one of these requirements:

  • A maximum 2020 adjusted gross income (AGI) of $39,000; or
  • You qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC); or
  • You served as active duty military (including Reservists and National Guard) with a maximum 2020 AGI of $72,000 (you'll also need a military-issued W-2).

Thanks DoninGA for clarifying the different free versions. I think though that you are wrong on the amounts. I just checked the IRS website and found this on the free file program:

  • Traditional IRS Free File provides free online tax preparation and filing options on IRS partner sites. Our partners are online tax preparation companies that develop and deliver this service at no cost to qualifying taxpayers. Please note, only taxpayers whose adjusted gross income (or AGI) is $72,000 or less qualify for any IRS Free File partner offers.

The $72K isn't limited to military persons.
