Thank you for your feedback! We are glad the issue was resolved.
If you are using TurboTax Online, you may want to try a different browser or try clearing out your browser's cache and cookies. Please see How do I delete cookies? and How to clear your cache for more information.
Please see What if I can't import my 1099? for instructions. Additionally, please keep in mind that the Document ID is case sensitive.
Sorry you had problems. I've been struggling with this for almost a month. This morning, Mar 3, I input acc#, then Document ID exactly the way it is on TD Ameritrade 1099 but without spaces, it worked immediately.
Note that the characters on TD Ameritrade 1099 are all CAPITAL.
Another thought, if you have inputted the info manually before, then once this import works, you need to delete one set of inputs to avoid double entry
Good luck

The answer to TD Ameritrade import is the Document ID is case sensitive, all CAPS. Then it works.
I had a different issue with importing TD Ameritrade. Are you using VPN? If so, try restarting the computer, don't login to VPN, launch Turbo Tax and retry the import. This is what I had to do.
If this doesn't help, I'm sorry. Hopefully it will assist someone else surfing for answers.
Turning off the VPN was the solution. You'd think TurboTaxk customer service would have known that. And it also begs the question, "What did TT change from last year?" My system configuration is the same.
Thanks for the help.
my 1099 downloaded properly but then I got a corrected 1099 - same account and Document ID. It will not download. I can download the new PDF. Is there a way to bring it into TurboTax.
Please see our Help Article for further troubleshooting steps for your 1099. If this does not resolve your matter, please reach out here in the thread for further assistance.
This is still broken. I was on the phone with customer support for an hour this morning, and didn't get anywhere. The entire reason I'm using TurboTax this year is because I wanted to automate this process. I don't want to enter this in manually.
I've tried all of the suggestions above, and nothing has worked. I've checked that the Document ID has the correct characters, removed spaces, and checked the casing. Everything is correct. I've tried manually typing the Document ID, and copying/pasting and removing spaces. Nothing works.
I'm not on a VPN, so that's not the issue. This is ridiculous. Why would I pay for Deluxe if I can't automatically import my 1099 from TD? Why isn't there an alternative method to import? Why can't we just upload the PDF?
Edited to add: Your "jump to form" button doesn't show ever. Customer service had me looking for multiple forms by searching for them, but the "jump to form" button just doesn't exist. Tried multiple browsers, cleared cookies/cache, etc. What's up with all of this bugginess this year? I've used TT many years in the past, and now I'm running into major bugs.
On Mar 3, after so many tries
I input acc#, then Document ID exactly the way it is on TD Ameritrade 1099 but without spaces, noting that the characters on TD Ameritrade 1099 are all CAPITAL. it worked immediately.
I never try again since then, note sure if something has changed ?
Addition to my previous comment
I agree that for so many years using TT, I never had this problem. By reading all the comments, I never see any response from TT employees that is correct.
They need to review this issue or any other issues and train their employees
Maybe if Intuit didn't focus so much on ESG and DEI programs, they'd have a better class of customer service rep.
I deleted the Original from Turbo Tax and then tried to import the Corrected 1099-DIV. It imported the Original UN-Corrected 1099-DIV. I am still waiting for an answer
I was finally able to get TT to import my Consolidated 1099's. Something's seriously wrong. TT showed my federal tax liability as $8,500 and my state at $5,000. That didn't fit with history or a "back of the napkin" calculation. I went to FreeTax USA, had to enter the 1099's manually, and they came up with a $91 refund on the federal, and I owe the state $3,600. This passed the smell test since I normally get $1,000's from the IRS and owe the state a few hundred due to differences in withholding. My income was higher in 2022 so I was expecting a change like what FreeTax calculated.
The returns are filed. We'll see.
This sounds stupid, but I tried time & again in past days to download TD Ameritrade and got an error that the document field was limited to 11 characters. Today I tried capitalizing the alpha letters and it worked on two separate TD accounts.
