I was finally able to get TT to import my Consolidated 1099's. Something's seriously wrong. TT showed my federal tax liability as $8,500 and my state at $5,000. That didn't fit with history or a "back of the napkin" calculation. I went to FreeTax USA, had to enter the 1099's manually, and they came up with a $91 refund on the federal, and I owe the state $3,600. This passed the smell test since I normally get $1,000's from the IRS and owe the state a few hundred due to differences in withholding. My income was higher in 2022 so I was expecting a change like what FreeTax calculated.
The returns are filed. We'll see.
