This is a public Internet forum.  For your privacy, please do not post personal info in this community forum.  If you want to remove your name from you comment, you can click the tiny blue 3-dot icon just to the right of your comment and choose to edit.

I'll tell you two ways below to reset a password and recover your account.   During the process you "may" discover that you have more than 1 account.     Pay special attention to the NOTE in bold later on in this post.

You can have up to 5 accounts that use the same email address for notification purposes.  A User ID may be an email address, but it doesn't have to be.  It might be only part of an email address, or it can be anything at all.

To get a list of your User IDs, reset password, and recover account access, etc., you can use the tool at the link below.  When using the Account Recovery tool, try using your phone number first if you can still access it.   After that, if necessary, then run the tool on your email address(es) you can access.

NOTE: Before running the account recovery tool below, log out of all Intuit accounts including this user forum, or you might end up in a loop.  Then clear your browser Internet cache, close your browser, then reopen it, and go to the link below.  You may wish to copy this link so you can paste it into the new browser session.

If still no luck after running that on your phone number you can still access and email address(es) that you can access,  here's another method:

Go back to the tool again, but this time leave the data field blank, scroll down a bit, then choose the small blue link that says "Try something else", and it will look you up by SSN and other parameters.

I just got an email to reset my password and that I had an issue with my tax return, SEVERAL hours after tax returns were so. This seems suspect, and if it’s not, why would a tax related company be reaching out to my pass the due date? I will be looking into this with my uncle who helps regulate the stock market (help created day to day trade software for credit and banking softwares, and will be contacting my other uncle who is the USAG to see if this “inquiry” is real. If not, will be pressing real actions of the full support of the US Gov’t to whoever is involved and more.

I'm a fellow user.  I don't work for TurboTax, but I would start by asking TurboTax about your email to see if it is legitimate, and if so, why it was sent.  You can even ask to speak to their security department.  This is a user community forum, not a direct route to TurboTax Support, and nothing account-specific can be handled in the user forum.    I'll tell you how to get a phone number to reach them below.

In the meantime,  I would NOT click on any links in a suspicious email, and do not download any attachments, since these days there are many scams/phishing attempts from nefarious folks, possible malware, etc.   So you need to find out if the email is legitimate.

If you want to reset your Intuit account password, you can do that by logging into your Online account, and then going to the left menu column and scrolling down to click Intuit Account.  Then in the account settings, there is a "Sign In and Security" section.

TurboTax Support hours are currently 5AM-9PM Pacific (8AM-12 Midnight Eastern), 7 days/week
